Nathaniel and Natalia did make it one night in the dark forest. But Devan was still in the forest looking for Natalia. He didn't find her in time. Devan was killed by an unknown force. The police searched the whole forest for his body but never found it. Nathaniel had protected Natalia from Devan for Nathaniel was a guardian angel sent from the Heavens to protect Natalia. Nathaniel and Natalia became a couple. Nathaniel made sure that Natalia was always by his side. Natalia knew that sometimes Nathaniel wouldn't be at the academy for he was out in world protecting everyone from danger.
