GET OUT OF THE WAY!

"Get on board, or get out of the way"

Richard Grayson still remembered those words, Superboy had given the league two options, but they made a third. Their respective mentors soon took their partners to their homes and captured Superboy. The sidekicks had other plans though. Quickly organizing themselves with the communicators he had secretly gave them back in the Hall of Justice, they got in touch with Speedy and planned their escape.

Which now led him to where he was now standing, at midnight on his windowsill with Bruce out cold in his room due to all the work he had ever since he grounded his partner. Even Batman has his limits. Dick had packed all his most valued belongings; including photos he had of his days in the circus and of his early days as Robin, a poster of the Flying Graysons, his utility belt, his costume, his cellphone and its charger, and as much clothing as he could shove into his backpack.

Today was the day. Today was the day he and the other "sidekicks" were running away. Roy would wait for them at one of his safe houses in Keystone while Kaldur, Wally and himself escaped on their own from their homes, leaving a note to those they cared about.  Then it was up to Robin to make sure that no one could trace them. Finally gathering his thoughts, Dick disappeared into the night.

He soon made it to the Zeta tube in which he soon disappeared, but not before inserting a virus that would erase all evidence of Zeta tube use in the next two hours. Not even Batman could trace something that wasn't there.

After getting out of Keystone's Zeta tube, Richard hurried over to Roy's safe house, opening it with the key Roy left hidden for them. He found Roy waiting for him. The redhead looked relieved the moment he saw his friend come into the room.

"Took you long enough. I thought Bats had caught you"

"That hurts Roy, how could you underestimate me like that?"

"Yeah yeah, just tell the others we are ready"

Dick did just that, and less than twenty minutes later, Kaldur showed up; with Wally coming last, as always, five minutes later. Together, they went to the Watchtower, which Robin had hacked in order to gain access. 

They proceeded to Superboy's cell, where they found Captain Atom, Hawkman and both Green Lanterns standing guard. Kid Flash quickly ran and took both of the Lanterns' rings off before Robin karate chopped them on the neck, knocking them out. Captain Atom and Hawkman were shocked to find that the sidekicks were attacking them, which allowed Aqualad to knock Hawkman out by grabbing him in a headlock while electrifying his arms. By then, Captain Atom had recovered and shot one of his atomics blasts at the atlantean, which the former sidekick of Aquaman blocked by using his water bearers to create a shield. Speedy then silently shot a knockout gas arrow which Captain Atom didn't notice until it was too late due to being distracted by the three already revealed sidekicks. Once he was enveloped by the gas cloud, Captain Atom started to feel dizzy, and barely registered a faint whisper that sounded like "We told you to either get on board, or out of the way". The silver clad hero soon fell to the ground out cold.

With the guards taken care of, Robin hacked the cell, successfully freeing Superman's clone. After quickly filling him in, the five young heroes left the Watchtower once again and headed back to Keystone to begin their new life.
