Mollie was curled up in a tiny ball in the corner of the room rocking back and forwards, crying.
"Oh my god, Mollie!"
I run over and scoop her tiny body up. I'm holding her bridal style, hugging her tiny stick body.
"It's ok baby, I'm here" I whisper in her tiny ear. She shivers, then I notice she's covered in ice cold water.
I take my jumper off and put it on her, it's like a huge dress. Fuck school.
I pick up like a baby. Grab her and my bag from my locker and just walk out. I'm not gonna let people hurt her.
"Wh-where are we g-going?" She asks through tears.
"Just to my place, don't worry baby nobody's home" I say rubbing her stone cold hand.
My house is about a 5 minute walk, I only get the bus because I'm a lazy shit.
I get my keys from the shoe in the porch and open up. I walk up the stairs, drop our bags in my room and take her to the bathroom.
"I would let you borrow my sisters clothes but she'd probably kill me so you can wear these" I toss her some of my tracksuit bottoms and a jumper.
"Th-thank you so much" she says.
I wait in my room for her. When she comes out it's adorable. She's used a hairband to stop the tracksuit bottoms from falling down and rolled up the ends. She looks adorable.
"It's a bit big" she says giggling.
That smile. Her laugh. It's beautiful, could lighten my mood on the darkest days.
I laugh back. "You you want to do a question game? But with no alcohol?"
I explain what it is and she's excited to play.
We both go downstairs and sit on the couch, I get Mollie a blanket because she looks cold.
"So tell me about you?"I ask.
"My full name is Mollie Hope Brookes. I'm originally from West Philadelphia. And I live with my step-father Jason"
I noticed how she said stepfather. I swear down if he has ever touched her, I will kill him.
"My full name is Ethan Grant Dolan. Born and raised here in LongValley. I have a twin Grayson and a older sister Cameron who's as college. I live with Grayson, my mum Lisa and my dad Sean"
"Wow, you have a pretty awesome life" she says excitedly. If only she knew.
