"broken arm?"
y/n asked,
nodding her head towards the boys white cast against his side.
he gave a small, shy smile before quickly saying,
"yeah."
he then hurried to walk past her,
heading straight for the pharmacy.
y/n laughed a soft laugh to herself and examined the shelf before her,
soon picking out what she'd come here for.
walking out of the store,
the kid from prior had stormed past her and shoulder bumped her.
in the process,
y/n lost the bag in my hand and spilled all the contents inside.
"hey, asshole!"
she called,
"watch where you're going!"
she scoffed and kneeled down to pick it up before seeing his tattered shoes in front of her.
she looked up at him,
seeing him red in the face with anger,
and for a second wondered if they were about to indulge in an argument.
until he kneeled beside bee and helped to pick up her stuff.
"i'm sorry. i didn't mean to."
y/n suddenly felt bad for the name calling,
and said,
"it's okay. i'm sorry for calling you an asshole."
black letters against his cast caught her attention,
and her heart weighed down when she read the word "loser" across it.
"greta?"
she asked while looking to his cast.
a shadow of embarrassment fell over him as he admitted,
"yeah."
y/n found the red sharpie in her bag and uncapped it,
watching as he groaned and jerked his hand back,
away from her.
"oh god. please don't embarrass me even more."
she opened my hand out for him to place his arm into,
giving him a reassuring smile.
"i won't. i'm gonna fix it."
he hesitantly placed his arm in her grasp,
where she then began tracing the letter V over the S in loser.
he looked at it with a soft smile.
"lover,"
he repeated with a tone of proudness.
y/n wrote her name in the corner of his cast with a heart then gave him a smile.
"i'll see you around, lover."
she then walked away,
leaving eddie stunned and dazed with not only her kindness,
but her beauty that seemed too good to be true.
eddie would go on to search for the girl in every part of town,
until he finally found her again in the isle of the corner store.
