There's been no kind of discussion, about anything. No... remember when we kissed? Remember when I told you I was in love with you? Nope, none of that stuff. Just plain old you can walk in sunlight even though you're a vampire kind of conversation.

It seems the tactic we're going for is tactical ignorance- by which I mean totally pretending it didn't happen. I don't bother bringing it up, because, hell, Simon's had a pretty rough night, and he doesn't really need me dumping my teenage angst on him.

And then, afterwards, after that night, for the months and months and months, the never ending hours- that was it. Nothing left between us, nothing left to cling onto. We'd never even gotten started but, yeah, it was over. That was indisputable.

Did I love him?

Ha. It's strange that is even a question. Of course I loved him, but you know how it is when you're young. It's bright and fiery and beautiful but in the end it is almost always short. Sparks stop flying. Debts are settled. All is done.
