Psycho Within

One, Two Three... Smile!

               "Ok that's good!  Great!  Ok, sa kabila naman. 'Yan! Smile. That's it! Ok. Ten minutes break."

                    I sat on my personal chair stubbornly. Nakakainis. I really thought I am alone in this commercial shoot. If I already knew that there will be three of us, I will not accept this one. Inis na ibinaling ko ang tingin sa dalawang kasama ko sa shoot. I'm really unlucky to be with two unknown stars in a shoot. God!  What will happen to my image? Ano bang nakain ni Sir Jude at isinali pa ang dalawang ito? Speaking of him, papunta siya sa pwesto ko kaya I tried to shift my face from overly annoyed to overly nice. Fun right?

              "Hi Leila! Hija, I am very sorry for not telling you earlier about the changes in the shoot. It's an order from the uppers. I know how you hated the fact that---"

                 "Oh no! It's ok Sir. I don't really mind. I am just happy na I have another shoot. It's still blessing you know and besides, it's always fun working with your team. "  buong tamis na nginitian ko siya habang tila ipinapahiwatig ko na it's a great blessing na mapasali ako sa commercial niya kahit ang sikat sikat ko na. O diba? I'm such a tupperware. I just really want to dig my nails on his face and well, claw out his eyes as well. But of course, sa isip ko lang yan lahat. Mahirap na. I'm so nice outside kaya.

           He smiled back at me and continued talking. This time about the two dumb stars that's with me in the commercial shoot.

                "Actually, the uppers are really happy that you agreed on this shoot. At least, ito yung isa sa mga way para makilala ang ating newest stars. Particularly that two. Dalawa lang sila sa mga bagong ilalaunch ng management. That girl in blue is Reign Russel. And, that one on yellow is Livia Simmons. Thank you very much talaga hija. We know your influence in social media and we are very glad that you helped us in a way." mahabang paliwanag niya sa akin na ikinangitngit ko ng lihim. So? I'm a puppet now huh? I really hate being used. I'm really pissed. I should be the only one in this shoot. Not along with that two!

                   "Anyway, I should get going. May meeting pa ako. Thanks again Leila. I owe you one hija. " tila sinsero rin namang saad nito at humakbang na papalayo sa akin. So? I owe him one pala? I think may magagamit na naman akong alas when the time comes. Lihim akong napangiti sa naisip.

        

                After ng 10 minutes break ay natapos din ang commercial shoot at exactly three in the afternoon. Pahinamad kong tiningnan ang cellphone ko at napangiwi nang makita ang almost 600 na notifs sa facebook ko. Same with Instagram. I sighed and looked around when I noticed someone looking at my way. Reign Russel. What's her deal? Why is she looking at me? Napansin ko pa ang bahagyang pag-ismid niya. Which made my blood boil immediately. Really? I turned my back and face my vanity mirror. It is personally installed by me here in the studio. I mentally chanted to myself and calmed my nerves before walking towards her.

         

            "One, two, three... Smile!  Victim spotted. "

           

                 Napangisi ako sa naisip at ipinagpatuloy ang paglapit  sa kanya.
