I sighed upon reaching the front door of my own three storey house. Tatlong maids ang sumalubong sa pagpasok ko. Saglit na kinausap ko muna ang tatlong security guards ko. I reminded them again in securing the whole house.
I immediately went inside and climbed up the stairs. My room is located in the third floor. I just love being on top. I took a shower and changed into my lingerie. I am brushing my hair when Yaya Soledad knocked and with my permission, entered my room.
"Yes yaya? What is it? " tanong ko sa kanya na hindi man lang siya nililingon. Patuloy pa rin ang pagbabrush ko sa aking buhok.
"Si Beth ma'am, dinala sa hospital. Andun din po si Hilda. Binabantayan siya. Kaya tatlo lang po kaming naiwan ngayon." tila nag-aalangang sabi sa akin ni Yaya Soledad.
"What? Why? Is Ate beth ok na? Is she badly hurt? Where's Lizzy nga pala? " kunwari ay gulat na gulat kong saad kay Yaya Soledad. But deep within me, I am laughing so damn hard. I wonder, natanggal kaya ng tuluyan ang kamay niya?
"Yun na nga po ma'am... Kinagat po ni Lizzy yung kanang kamay ni Beth. Eh ewan ko ba dun. Bakit siya ang nagpakain kay Lizzy eh diba sa inyo lang naman po yun umaamo? Sabi niya utos niyo raw. Nagmamadali nga siyang makauwi dito kanina kaya ayun po. Si Lizzy naman, nandun na po kay Doc. Rick. Bukas pa daw po makukuha. " mahabang paliwanag sa akin ni Yaya Soledad na tila nanggigimi pa rin at nakaantabay sa magiging reaksiyon ko regarding what happened.
"Haaayyy... Ganun po ba? Pero sa pagkakatanda ko po talaga, hindi ko po inutusan si Ate Beth. Nagtataka nga ako at bigla siyang nawala sa set. My Lizzy... Baka natrauma na siya. Pagkatapos niyon ay pasalampak na akong nahiga sa aking king-sized bed. Binili ko pa ito from Italy. The covers are from Thailand. Pure silk. Just fit for a queen, which is no other than... Me!
I suddenly laughed at the thought of Ate Beth. Lizzy is such a good dog. I'll buy her premium dog food as a reward for what she did. I just stopped laughing when Yaya Soledad comes in and placed my milk on the table. Then, I got up and locked my room.
