Hello my name is Samantha, I am a fairy borrower, at age 16 my parents left to go live in the forest, while I stayed behind. I am an 18 year-old girl with wavy/curly strawberry blonde hair, hazel eyes and pale skin. I am the size of a big person's thumb. I have a dark blue hooded cloak on and have blue rimmed glasses, I am nearsighted. My cloak hides not only my looks but also....something else...my wings...

~Sam's Pov~

A few weeks after my parent moved... It was a dark and rainy night outside then out of nowhere a young borrower girl enters one of the passages from one of the outside tunnels I had made over the years when my family was here, her clothes were all tattered and torn, from her chest to her shoes. She had blue, green eyes that shined ever bright, she had pale skin, and her long honey blonde hair, looked dark and moist from the rain. I quickly rush to her aid, leading her down the corridor that led into the living room.... There was a trap door which I pushed open. I help her reach the warmth of the couch and fireplace, which she gladly followed, she was shivering very badly from the cold, so I take off my cloak, not showing my wings since well I used magic to hide them, and let her borrow my cloak, so she can warm up and not get sick. Once done wrapping it around her I run into the kitchen getting some milk, and some hot cocoa mix for some hot cocoa. I only got as much as needed that wouldn't be noticed by the beans. I used magic to help make it of course... I scurry across the kitchen and living room. I got back to the girl and gently handed her the cap/thimble with the cocoa in it. She takes it and I gently begin to chat with her.

I learned her name and age, she said her name was Ashley, and she is 13. I then asked her if she had a place to stay and she told me that, "no I don't I have been living on the streets for a while now, but I have been doing a good job living by myself all these years." She smiled brightly at me like it wasn't a bad thing, especially for her health.

As I listened it made me sad hearing that she had been living out there on her own ...and at that young age too!

I think for a few seconds and then gently smile to her... "well I have room here... you can stay with me if you would like... I can take care of you." I offer kindly.

She gasps loudly in surprise, then her smile just becomes even more brighter with my remark, "really? Are you sure I won't be a burden to you?" she asks

"No you won't be a burden at all. But I need you to follow some rules I have here okay?"

She nods vigorously while her smile just becomes even brighter, then she runs up to me, and gives me as much as a tight hug as she can do, "thank you, thank you, thank you!" she repeats over and over again overjoyed.

I was caught off guard when she suddenly hugged me but I gently smile and hug her back "you're very welcome Ashley."

And from that day on.... I promised myself that I would protect her even if it meant I had to put myself in harm's way for her, or risking anyone finding out about my secrets.
