His thoughts are so scattered
His brain cannot handle any more
He doesn't know if he's been distracted
From his mental illnesses
Or if he's actually getting better
One moment he's on top of the world
Ready for each day
Motivated
And energized
The next
He's isolating himself
He can hardly stand any irritation
He wants to scream so hard his throat burns
He doesn't know which way is up
Or which way is down
Instead he's running around in circles
So lost
Deeply confused
He's trapped behind some barrier
Unable to be connect to the world
He wants to smash it
But he can't
He doesn't know why
He just can't reach through
No matter how hard he tries
Leaving him right back here
Scattered
And drained
