Hunter:
Kissing Era for the first time since after father had beaten me was like freedom from this wretched world for an entire hour. We kissed for a long time the just lay on the branch together with our legs intertwined. I had forgotten to put my shirt back on, but I don't regret it. It just made me feel closer to Era. She had fallen asleep next to me, her hair spread beautifully around her tanned head, her lips still in a small smile. My gorgeous, brave girl. Smiling at her, I finally picked her up and slung her over my shoulder. Gently, I lowered us both to the ground and set her on the blanket. I stamp out the fire bring all of our scattered belongings closer. I let my gun sling in my hand in case I need to use it and put my head beside hers. My eyelids are heavy but I have to stay awake. I have to guard Era, because there are so many people looking for her. People who want her dead. I close my eyes and stifle a yawn. I can sleep for an hour or two, maybe. Era's strong and no one knows where she is... My love...
When I wake up, Era is no longer beside me and my gun is taken from my hand.
Sorry I know this chapter is ridiculously short. Anyways I hope you read on despite this!
