Ninjago Advent Calendar 2017 [Complete]

Day 13: Christmas Jumper // Garmadon x Koko (TLNM)

Just over the halfway mark, everything on time so far - whoohoo (probably just jinxed it 😉)!

I really wanted to give this theme to a four-armed character, preferably Garmadon, and when I went through the possible scenarios, it came down to Lord Garmadon and General Kozu on the Dark Island, or this one. So I thought why not include a movie-verse oneshot in this book. Takes place after the movie. And it's not really a shipping story, but I have added some Garmadon x Koko - and a tiny bit of Jaya 🙂.

Four-armed Problems

"Mum, dad, are you ready?" Lloyd impatiently asked through the closed door. "Hurry, we don't want to be late for the party."

Sensei Wu had invited the Secret Ninja Force, now including Lloyd's mother Koko, the famous Lady Iron Dragon, and her former husband Garmadon - who was also the reformed arch nemesis of Ninjago - for a small Christmas gathering on the Destiny's Bounty.

"Come in, honey." His mother called from the other side. "We're almost ready to go."

The green-eyed teen opened the door and entered his parents' bedroom. His mother was just standing in front of the mirror, applying a hint of festive rouge to her cheeks, which matched the colour of her hair. She turned around to smile at her only son, who was dressed in a green elf jumper and pants.

"Aww, look at my little elf." She cooed.

"Mum, I am not a little elf, I am just as tall as you." The teen complained. "Jay came up with the stupid idea that everyone from the team should wear a Christmas jumper in their signature colour for the party, and this was the only green one they had left in store."

"That's what happens when you leave it to the last minute." Koko stated, herself wearing a custom-made charcoal Christmas jumper depicting a silver and orange dragon with a Santa hat, and shimmering silver stars. In her orange-red hair, she was wearing a headband with reindeer antlers. "You are just like your father."

Lloyd's eyes turned to the person sitting on the bed, Garmadon was the bed, still wearing his usual dark clothes and the usual frown on his handsome face.

"Why is dad not ready?" Lloyd asked worriedly.

"Because I don't have anything cheerful enough to wear. Turned out the Christmas department doesn't stock anything according to my measurements." Lord Garmadon answered, demonstratively crossing his four arms. "Which means either you will have to take me like this, or I am not going at all."

"Oh no, darling. You are not staying here." His ex-wife remarked. "I know that it is still hard for you to be friendly with the people of Ninjago – and especially the Ninja – but this will be a good opportunity to interact with them and to work on your social skills. Here you go." She applied some glitter to his face before giving him a small peck on his cheek.

"Thank you." He replied with a forced smile.

"Now, let's go." Their son was happy to celebrate his first Christmas with both parents and with friends.

When Lloyd's family arrived at the ship, his teammates were already gathered on deck.

"Hi Lloyd." The other teens greeted their friend. As agreed, Kai was wearing a knitted red jumper showing a fireplace, whereas Zane's one was white with an ice blue snowflake.
