~Year 2090-Winter-

"That's your plan?" Dante appears some what skeptical as he sits back against a chair in his room. The two of us had been up all day and the late evening was approaching, the blood renewal would soon be upon us tomorrow night. During those hours, we'd brought a lot out into the open, mainly things concerning Rose and how she'll need to not only unlock her dormant genes, but truly understand how to isolate each one...

...that's the hard part.

"All going well, by the next winter solstice she'll be able to take out Arthur, no one suspecting a thing," I release a sigh, knowing that there are possible flaws to this plan, though without some structure, we can't proceed and change this world.

Some sacrifices will have to be made.

Dante arches a brow and chuckles, "You do realize that Rose is going to be put through a lot in order to isolate her genes...especially playing the part of a human once she's realized her full potential. It'll be hard, but it's doable...it took me a few years in order to understand how to control them..."

"That's why she needs you also..." the resentment is clear in my voice as a smirk plays on his lips.

"Once she's been claimed by both Marc and yourself..." his voice trails off before resting his elbow against the armrest, "...she'll truly no longer require you by her side."

I narrow my eyes at him and remark, "You presume more than you know," I can't help but notice the way his eyes glimmer with something darker hidden beneath.

"As I have mentioned before," Dante releases a sigh before standing to his feet, "I don't trust you and I hardly know Marc from Adam...so I don't trust him either...you both could very well be the death of her," he pauses a moment as I slowly rise to my feet, "perhaps she'll think clearly knowing she doesn't need to bond with either of you to truly represent the power she holds..."

"You have no right to make such a statement," I take a step toward him however, I have to relax and remind myself that arguing with him isn't going to solve anything.

He'll plow my ass into the marble floor in two seconds flat...

Dante nods and releases a sigh, "I don't?" Dante takes a step closer to me and tilts his head to the side, "Bonds can be dangerous things...in another time in this world it might be something coveted by another however...bonding could be her weakness should either of you die..."

"No one is going to die," I reiterate.

"How can you be so sure of yourself?" When Dante asks this, I have to hold back my remark...maybe I'm not as confident as I thought if he's second guessing what could go wrong and the potential bond between Rose...

What's been eating at me specifically...

...where is his beloved and mate?

After a few moments, he walks away from me and nears the bedroom door. He pauses and turns around to face me before stating, "When Rose has unlocked her genes, you can call my cell and I'll bring her to my secluded estate where she can begin her training. She'll find herself among not only vampires, but werewolves as well...individuals that believe in a world that can coexist."

Crossing the room to come near him, I nod my head in response, knowing there are just instances where I won't know everything about what she is and if Dante truly can help her, I'll allow it. He's strong enough to take out Arthur himself...though he's still under suspicion and I know Arthur must be keeping him at arms reach.
