The ANBU appeared in Minato's office. The Hokage was talking to his wife.

"Lord Fourth, I have a report." (#1)

"What is it?" He was slightly confused. Why and what were these ANBU reporting for?

"We sensed his chakra about 37 miles northeast of the village but th-" (#2)

"Who's?" Kushina asked, Minato wondering the same.

The ANBU looked at the couple. "Naruto. Your eldest."

"Why are you looking for him? Isn't he at the academy?" Minato asked.

One of the other ANBUs (#4) came up and placed a paper on his desk.

"You dropped this when to sent us on this failed mission." He stated.

Minato picked it up and looked at it in an angle where Kushina could read as well.

It was the letter.

Naruto's farewell letter.

"You didn't find him, did you?" Minato looked at the four ANBU.

"No. We did not find him." Another (#3) said.

#2 cleared his throat. "As I was saying, We sensed his chakra about 37 miles northeast from the village. Seconds later, we couldn't sense it, l-"

"Like he masked it." #4 cut in.

"Okay. You are dismissed." Minato said after #3 placed a scroll on his desk.

The four ANBU disappeared.

"Team 7, Sakura Haruno, N-. . . Menma Namikaze-Uzumaki-"

Sakura fumed. She absolutely hated the Namikaze-Uzumaki children. She was slightly happy when Naruto left. Many people say he's dead now.

Menma sighed. "Why do I have to be with her?" He asked himself.

"Sasuke Uchiha,"

Sakura stood up quickly and started cheering. Menma groaned and the Uchiha just blinked.

"And Kamiko Namikaze-Uzumaki." Iruka finished.

Sakura fell in her seat and fumed again. Kamiko was very happy she was with Sasuke, but was mad that she was with Sakura.

Menma and Kamiko always wondered how Naruto had a crush on her. Naruto didn't even know himself.

Iruka continued saying the rest of the teams.

Sasuke had noticed that when Iruka was about to say Menma, he hesitated and almost said something that started with 'N'.

Naruto?

What? No. He didn't even take the test.

A blonde journeyed Northeast. His ocean blue eye held no emotion.

'Can't wait to get out this jumpsuit.'

'Oh, that new outfit you bought, Kit?'

'Yes.'

'I like it.'

'I know you do. You told me to buy it.'

'True. . .'

Naruto smiled slightly, glad- very glad he left.
