Sleeping Engaement

I had the ring.

Everything was ready.

Especially you and me.

But even though I knew you'd say yes I was so scared of you regecting me that-

Well.

This happened.

~3 hours earlier~

I had taken you out for dinner at a fancy-ish restraunt, where I had planned to propose.

I had the small box in my pocket, and had been trying to be just a little extra, but not to much.

But after the food came, when I was going to do it I couldn't do it.

I was fiddling with the box under the table, but for some reason I just couldn't move to my knee and ask the question I had been wanting to ask for so long.

We had a great night, even thigh my anxiety kicked in a bit more at that moment and kept on mounting until You noticed.

When that happen we paid and quickly got out to the car, having already finished, then I had a all out panic attack.

You held me as I cried, my entire body shaking violently, you had just assumed that it was an unfortunate timed sudden attack, when really I had just been so nervous, and frustrated, and disappointed with myself, that it drove me over the edge.

Once we got home you brought me to my room, I could never sleep right, not that your sleep pattern was perfect either, I was always so worried about keeping you awake so I insisted that we didn't share a room.

Anyways, you got me to my room, and went to change into your pajamas while I did the same, then you came back and held me until I 'fell asleep'. Really I was just faking it so you didn't have to worry because it was already 10:56 and you hadn't sleep well all week, so you were especially tired.

Once you went to bed I waited for half an hour before I dared to move, then another fifteen minutes before I went to your room to check.

You were asleep.

Then I went back and grabbed the ring, and began pacing, which brings us to now.

I had been pacing ball and forth for a while now, trying to decide what to do.

I was on the verge of another breakdown when I finally decided what to do.

I pulled the hood up on my panda onesie and snuck back out of my room and into yours again.

I made my way to your bedside as froze when you moved.

I stayed still until you settled, and for a few seconds after, then I crept forward and gently grabbed your hand, slipping the ring on, then sneaking back out.

"I really hope you would've said yes," I whispered softly before going back to bed and somehow not managing to panic myself to sleep.

So I watched some Youtube to calm my nerves a bit.

But I ended up not sleeping that night.

(Dedication to my brother getting engaged last week :D
