(Mark's POV)
The next day, I was able to sneak out the door without my aunt noticing. As I flew to school, I couldn't stop thinking about what the new kid would look like. That, and what kind of hybrid he'd be.
Once I landed, there was chatter all over the school grounds about him. And after a few minutes, I saw a new car drive up.
I watched as a kid got out, one I've never seen before. I looked over his features... Oh no. He's a wolf hybrid. More than likely, he'll join Vincent's group.
But I kept looking at him. He had green hair, sharp fangs, a bushy green and brown tail, and wore a lot of black. His jeans had rips in them, and he was wearing combat boots. Huh... That's new.
He then looked at me and I quickly looked away. God, I hope he didn't just catch me staring. He's probably not even gay anyway...(Jack's POV)
There was one guy that stood about above tha' rest... A raven-haired angel. His wings were beautiful, along with tha' rest of him... What? I'm gay, so don't judge!
I stared at him fer a moment, then kept on my way. I needed tuh' head to tha' office tuh' get my schedule. But before I could get there, I had several people come up to me. Includin' another wolf hybrid, like myself."Hey, kid," he smirked. "What's your name?"
"Jack," I replied.
"You wanna join our group?"
"Uh, I really need tuh' get to tha' office."
"Alright... I'll ask again at lunch. Hope you have an answer by then."Then he walked off. Fookin' hell... haven't been here two minutes and already bein' asked tuh' join groups and cliques. Jeez...
After getting my schedule, I heard tha' bell ring. I looked at my first class: Pre-Cal - Mrs. Johns. I found it in no time, and she told me that there was one seat left, by a kid named Mark.
Once tha' name was spoken, I saw someone look up. It was the same angel kid from this mornin'. He waved at me and smiled. I grinned... this kid really was cute. Especially in the pink sweater he was wearin'.
Tha' teacher introduced me and I went tuh' sit down. As I did, I saw the kid blush... That was, until someone threw somethin' at him. I turned around, only tuh' find out that it was that kid from this mornin' that asked fer me tuh' be in his group. He must be a bully... and I'm not one of 'em.
I knew this kid had gone through tough shit. I could see it in his soft, chocolate brown eyes. Wolves can sense these things, and I could tell he was afraid tuh' do anythin' he thinks will embarrass himself.
I promised myself that I'd watch after him, since I felt somethin' would happen soon. I don't want him tuh' get hurt.Three weeks later...
As I was walkin' home, I heard cries of distress. Then, I saw a familiar face. It was Mark! He was bleedin' and runnin' from something... or someone. It was those three guys again. They were peltin' him with rocks and throwing glass at him.
I felt my anger risin', releasin' the wolf in me. As Mark ran my way, I got ready tuh' scare tha' shit out of them.
Mark ran past me and tha' trio kept runnin' towards me. I growled and roared at them, makin' them run in fear. Then, I turned tuh' Mark, who was on the ground."Are ya okay?" I asked.
"W-Why did you save me?" he replied with a question.
"They were hurtin' ya. I don't do bullyin'."He flashed a super-cute smile, which warmed my heart. I helped him up and got him tuh' his house. There was an angry lady at the door. They didn't have any similarities, so my guess was that she was an aunt 'er somethin'.
But I also sensed somethin' was wrong. I could smell alcohol, comin' from her. What tha' hell? Was Mark in tha' hands of someone dangerous? But, I couldn't do anythin' now. I would just have tuh' wait tuh' talk tuh' him about it.
As I walked home, I thought about all I found out today... Mark was goin' through a lot, was possibly dealin' with a drunk family member, and gets bullied every day. I knew there was more tuh' him than what I'm seein'. I would just have tuh' figure it out...
