REVIEW:
I just finished this reading this book, and in all honesty, I don't know what to feel.
"The kindest of hearts have felt the most pain."
It's a saying we've all heard and read too often, and this book is its physical embodiment. It is incredibly refreshing to stumble upon such a calm, genuinely kind character who double guesses what she hears about people and has the patience to get to know another before placing her judgements; Helena is simply just precious and I wish they were more like her in the world outside Wattpad.
But awe-inspiring characters aside, what intrigued me the most was the tunnel-focus on the main leads' friendship. The bare hint of chemistry between them crept up to you rather than slapping you right in the face, but that made it all the more sweeter and so utterly satisfying because they were two people finding what they weren't even looking for.
Frigid is about unspoken words, gradual forgiveness, and questioning the obvious for there's another story between the lines. It's mixed emotions and fragile pasts, but most of all, it is about life and the courage to finally look towards future with clearer eyes.
