Meant to Be (Kakashi x Oc)

15. His face.

I woke up and all I could realize was, that I was at the hospital, again.
I was blinded by the bright light so I sat myself up, trying to recognize what was around me.

I looked at the window, where I realized a silhouette, but I cold not identify the person. I rubbed my eyes and as they adjusted more and more to the bright light, I realized the grey hair of the person that stood in front of the windows. It could only be my Kakashi.

"Kakashi, is that you?" I asked with a fading voice.

"Thank god you woke up!" he responded as he turned around.

I looked surprised at him, as I realized that he did not have his mask on. Did he forget to put it on? No, he never forgets it. I was deep in my thoughts as I looked at his face. His looks where just as handsome, just as I imagined him to be.

" Is something wrong?" I heard Kakashi ask me, what got me out of my fan girl thoughts.

" Kashi, you...well, why..." I could not talk because I was still shocked.

He never showed me his face, so why did he do it now? What happened? I asked myself again.

" Shh, don't talk. You are still to weak!" he told me as he made his way to me.

"You are to weak to talk, but maybe you are not to weak for this." he told me with his perfect smile and just kissed me.

He kissed me over and over again and I just obeyed. As we kissed he tried to get over me, but he touched my wound and it hurt so bad that I just screamed in pain.

"What happened? Did I hurt you!?" Kakashi asked panicked and stood up from the bed looking worried at me.

"Sorry for screaming and scaring you, but apparently it isn't just a scratch." I told him while I forced a smile, because I was still in pain.

I tried to keep a smile on my lips, as this moment was to perfect to let it be ruined by my injury.

Just as I was about to forget the pain and pull Kakashi back again into a kiss, we heard a knock at the door. Kakashi put his mask back on, just in time as the door opened and Sakura came in.

"Ayumi, you are awake! Sorry to just come in like that but I heard a scream." the pink haired girl told us.

"Yeah, I screamed. I am sorry but as I tried to sat myself up, I unintentionally hurt my wound and now I am in pain again." I told her with a fake smile on my face, because I was lying for Kakashi.

"Wait, let me see it really quick." she told me as she made her way to my bed.

She looked at my bandages and as she was blood on them, she immediately knew what happened.

" The stitch has opened again. We need to stitch it back together, fast."

As she told this I could see how worried Kakashi was, because after all he was the one who injured me this time.

"Kakashi, tell Tsunade what happened and bring her here as fast as possible. Ayumi is not allowed to lose more blood than she already lost!" Sakura told him while she started opening my bandages.

Kakashi left immediately and I was left alone with Sakura fore a few moments, till Kakashi returned with Tsunade.

Tsunade made her way to Sakura. She just looked at me and gave me a towel.

"Bite it. We need to stitch you. We will try to be as soft as possible." she told me as she put the towel in my mouth.

"Kakashi you can hold your girlfriends hand if you want. I'm sure that would help her." told him Tsunade with a big grin on her face.

Without saying a word, Kakashi sat next to my bed and took my hand. He was holding my hand and was looking at me. I knew him too well, so even if you would normally not see it, I knew he was worried.

Because he was so worried, I tried to keep calm and not let him see how much pain I was going through, while Sakura was sticking my wound back together.

After Sakura and Tsunade were done with stitching my leg, Tsunade looked concerned at me.

"Ayumi, the guy from Akatsuki, he attacked you, right?" she asked me, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"What?! NO! He tried to help me!" I responded, almost shouting at the Hokage.

"What?! You saw what he did to you and you defend him? You defend an Akatsuki?!" she responded with her deep voice.

"Yeah, he tried to protect me and I got wounded because we did not realize what happened. Tsunade, just trust me and I will tell you the other details later." I told her, while having a serious look on my face.

"I get it. You to want to be alone. Come on Sakura, lets leave them alone." she told us with a smile on her lips, while she made her way to the door.

"What? No! That's not what I meant Tsunade!" I exclaimed at her.

She did not listen and left the room giggling.

"Geez Tsunade!" I exclaimed while crossing my arms.

"Well, I will leave you alone to rest a little." I heard the pink haired girl say.

"Ehm Sakura, before you leave, do you know where Sai is?" I asked my friend.

"No, he disappeared after he knew you were in good hands. No one saw him since then."

"Ok..ehm, if you see him, please tell him that he should visit me." I told her.

"I will. But I'll leave now. Take care!" she waved at me, after which she left the room.

I sighed and looked back at my boyfriend. I saw that he was absentminded.

"Kakashi, what's wrong" I asked him with a soft voice.

"Well, when Sakura and Tsunade stitched you, didn't it hurt? I mean you didn't make a noise, nor did you tighten your grip." he asked me worried.

"Oh well." I responded while I giggled nervously. " Not that it did not hurt, but it was not that bad because I had you next to me"

I looked at his surprised, yet sad face and smiled genuinely.

"But let's talk about something else." I told him, still smilingly.

"Yeah, what?" he responded, being normal again.

"Your face!"

"Yeah? You do not like my appearance?" he responded with a silent voice. Almost indicating that he is sure and sad about me not liking him.

"No! I just...would you take your mask off one more time?" I asked him a little shy, because I did not know if he would do it.

Till today he would not let me see his face. He always turned around if we were eating and would put his hand on my eyes if he would kiss me and now I am just asking him to take the mask off. Till today I never asked him this.

He chuckled and without even saying something, he took it of. I looked at him and tried to sit up, so I would face him.

"Hey, what are you-" I stopped him, because I was already sitting and placed my finger on his lips.

I cherished his face with my hand and just looked at him. He was gorgeous, even better then I could imagine him. He had such a soft skin, just as his lips, that I loved so much to kiss. Now I can kiss him whenever I want. Just as I realized it, I got closer to his face and kissed him.I stopped and opened his headband. I let it fall to ground and kissed him again.

He put his hands around my body and laid me on the bed, with him on top of me. Our kisses became more  passionate as we started to undress each others.
