After Shisui, Sakura, and Naruto left Amegakure without a slip up, they partnered up with Itachi and Sasuke, who're heading home after the Summit. However, with the Amegakure base unguarded, one other person was able to enter, though it was a scheduled meeting.
Tobi had made it back to the base as well and he waited at the top for Kabuto. He was still frustrated with the fact that he couldn't retrieve Hagami's eyes, but there was one other thing he could coax Kabuto into doing as a countermeasure.
"Security was harder to bypass than I thought. Did you for once think of either of us?" Kabuto oozed as he walked into the room.
"I have to keep it tight. Or else people will get suspicious that something is falling apart within Amegakure." Tobi answered in a deep voice. "So, you've decided to partner with me, instead of stab me in the back, I'm pleased." He said with an edge of sarcasm.
"And as payment, do you have Hagami's corpse?" Kabuto asked stepping forward. However, he refused to show his face for he had gone under a transformation like none of Orochimaru's previous experiments.
"I do." Tobi answered and he began to lead hem down to the ground level floor where she was stored. "Where is Orochimaru?" He asked suspiciously since he couldn't even sense his chakra.
"He couldn't make it. There seems to be something else on his mind, perhaps betrayal." Kabuto hissed.
"Hm...how unfortunate." Tobi said with little sympathy. They walked in silent but something grew increasingly off toward the bottom floor. Tobi's anger spiked when he sensed Hagami's chakra prominent inside the room and he took off with a run.
He had the urge to rip his mask off his face when he saw the red tape he put up to seal the room, inside and out. However, it seemed that it had been severed just as easy as he had set it. And someone else had been in the room too hence the door was left open.
"What a shame." Kabuto appeared looking over Tobi's shoulder. "I suppose I can conclude that you didn't have the ability to take Hagami's eyes? I do believe she used the Izanagi in order to escape this, a jutsu that I've long sought after."
"She couldn't of used it. I sensed no chakra in her body when she was here." Tobi roared at them and he walked in. His hands immediately shot to the caskets edges and sure enough it was broken from the inside.
"Let me tell you something, the user of the Izanagi doesn't have to be alive to perform it. Perhaps she set it as a time lagging jutsu. But for her to sustain it for multiple days after death, it sounds comparable to Madara." Kabuto mused, hinting that he knew that who was in front of him was not truly Madara.
"So, does this mean she's alive and wandering? Or did someone come to take her away when she was revived?" Tobi snapped at them, getting more irritated by the second.
"That's beyond my knowledge. But chances are...she escaped on her own since you're busy with the Kage Summit. The security was at it's weakest too." Kabuto chuckled. "Hagami's even more resilient than Shisui, worthy of becoming a vessel too.
"And if I may add, there is a way to counter this. If she did use the Izanagi, then she's lost her eyesight in one eye. Plus, the chakra system doesn't replenish itself right off the back. If we can find her before she's able to recover completely and kill her there, she can become apart of the army I'm amassing."
"Army?" Tobi asked, his anger simmering.
"...you didn't know? I know how to perform the Edo Tensei (Reanimation Jutsu), and I've already resurrected many shinobi of the past, including on sacred one that is rather a surprise to me."

Hagami landed in the heart of Sora-ku. Even with her footsteps masked, she knew that she was being watched from every direction. Either way though, she walked toward the underground room where Nekobaa lived with her granddaughter, Tamaki. For years, the Uchiha Clan stored munitions at Sora-ku and often visited in order to replenish on weaponry. She doubted Nekobaa knew of her death and she had visited every once and while for weapons. Surprisingly, Nekobaa eventually coaxed her into telling her about the mission so she knew well who she was.
"Nekobaa-san?" Hagami knocked on the wall and walked inside of the stuffy too.
"Oh, it's you Hagami," she greeted and opened her eyes though they were still squinted, "I'm surprised you're alive, you know? Shisui wasn't here long ago, perhaps a week or two saying he was going to go through with Sasuke's plan to recover your corpse during the Five Kage Summit." Nekobaa didn't hesitate to tell her of the plan that Sasuke had conjured up.
"W-What? They went to get my corpse? All the way in Amegakure?" Hagami cocked a brow. "Hmph, of course that wouldn't surprise me... Seems like something they'd do."
"It does. You're like the mother cat, and they're the kittens that'll follow you." Nekobaa compared and Hagami smiled softly. "So, what do you need?" She asked but the reaction she got wasn't one she was hoping for. Hagami's facial expressions hardened into a stoic one and the atmosphere around her chilled deeply when she became serious.
"Enough weapons to get me through war."

"WHAT?! The Hokage has died?!" Naruto shrieked when he got back to the Village. Shikamaru was standing at the gates, his arms in his pockets as he sighed. "Someone as strong as him died?!"
"That's what I just said." Shikamaru sighed again. "The Hokage was targeted on his way home apparently by Akatsuki. It didn't take much according to Torune, one of Lord Danzō's body guards that apparently tagged along and lagged behind."
"Then...who's going to be the next Hokage? Lady Tsunade is still in a coma isn't she?" Sakura asked, her eyes wide now that the Village didn't have a leader.
"Well, one of the candidates is Kakashi-Sensei, though I don't think he's too keen on the idea." Shikamaru scratched the side of his head. "And so is Itachi-san." Shikamaru said as Itachi, Sasuke, and Shisui walked up.
"I'm...what?" Itachi asked as he approached Shikamaru. He had a confused look in his eyes whilst his face remained stoic.
"You're a candidate for the Hokage alongside Kakashi-Sensei since Lord Danzō was killed." Shikamaru repeated and Itachi's eyes widened a bit. "Akatsuki seemed to partake in the murder."
Itachi looked at Shisui for some kind of explanation but that was the last thing he got from his best friend. Itachi looked back to Shikamaru, knowing he was here to take him to the Feudal Lord's home where they'd discuss whether or not he'd become the Hokage, or Kakashi would. Itachi looked back at Shikamaru.
"Have Kakashi-san go on ahead to become Hokage, please. I'm not fit to take the place." Itachi excused himself immediately from being a candidate and Shikamaru sighed.
"Heh, that's almost exactly what Kakashi-Sensei said." Shikamaru chuckled. "Well, I'm sure he'll understand since you're quite young compared to the previous Hokage."
"Arigato (Thank you)." Itachi bowed his head a tiny bit.

I know a few things may be off but oh well, I have to manage somehow since I've changed up the plot line so much since the beginning.
Anyway, enjoy!
