Chapter 16: Elements

Story's POV

Sidd was looking at me like I was some kind of rare and extinct creature and Chronus was just as quiet as ever and blank. 

"..." I stayed silent and held my arm, the poison was still in my system, but Sidd was taking a look at my wound as we sat on the stairs of t.

"This looks pretty bad." Sidd muttered.

I resisted the urge to make a come back, mostly because my comebacks always got confusing and it always go back in my mouth, making me regret the words I blurted out.

"I'm not good with healing magic but just bare with me." Sidd said as he put his hands on my arms, there was an orange glow emitting from his hands and as soon as the glow was gone my wound was healed.

"Thank you..." I gave a small thank you to Sidd and rose, while I did that, Sidd's face went from worried to shock. I limped down the stairs and looked back at Sidd, I tilted my head. 

"H-Hey, you shouldn't get up, just because I healed your wounds doesn't mean your health isn't better." He sounded worried.

"It's alright, I fine, I'm just...tainted." I muttered the last word so no one could hear it.

Sidd looked at me then went to me and his hand patted my head. Sidd tilted his head as he studied my head and facial expression.

"Why would you cut your hair and your eyes are brown, plus not to mention your wearing blood stain clothes?" Sidd joked a little bit just to release tension, but then he turned serious. "During the last time we met, Chess King and Cheshire Cat said the name, 'Story'."

My eyes went wide but yet relived but fear was lurking inside of me. My gaze was upon Sidd, then I looked at Chronus who was observing everything. Sidd went to Chronus on top of the stairs then faced me.

"Who are you?" He finally said those words, I closed my eyes and looked at the ground.

"I am not Katherine nor Story. Katherine is a name of someone that you know and hate, while Story is a fictional name I gave myself because of my personality and many other things." I answered. 

"Then who are you really? What's your name? Your role?" He asked more question.

"I'm...I'm afraid I cannot answer you, but I can tell you this one thing, Sidd Rex, he same for you, Chronus Carlyle." I walked towards them, one step at a time. "For this story, it will have a tragic end or a happy end, it will depend on you and the protagonist , make the right decisions, that goes to all of you...and Alice."

I went in front of Sidd and raised my had to meet his gaze. (A/N-I'm small and fat, not that short though but like about 5'1-ish, to tell the truth I forgot but STILL.)

"What  do you mean? What's that suppose to mean?" Sidd said being shocked momentarily. 

"..." I closed my eyes as I turned around and made more distance between Sidd and I. I sat down on the stairs and opened my eyes staring at nothing in particular.

"You're not going to me tell me." Sidd frowned.

"Yes and...no." I hesitated.

"Well, until you're ready tell me then." Sidd said in a cheerful voice unexpectedly.

I jerked my head to look at him in shock. "WHY ARE YOU TAKING THIS CALMLY!"

"Well you have your reasons, plus your a lady, and a lady should have her privacy." Sidd smiled, his white teeth showing.

"But I'm not a lady..." I muttered in anger.

"Oh so...you want to tell me--" Sidd smile went to a teasing one.
