"Icebox Fever?"

     "It isn't working, Hermione!"

Hermione frantically grabbed his wand from him to stop him from his vicious wand-waving, "Trust me, Harry, it worked. You said the spell correctly, and did the correct movements. Remember, the spell doesn't affect you, it affects your true love."

Harry nodded, grabbing his wand back from Hermione. After being alone for so long, he had asked Hermione how to find the right person for him, and she told him to perform a spell that-

"Will it really turn my soul mate's hair blue?" Harry asked hopefully.

"Yes," Hermione replied, pulling him up from his bed, "Dark blue, to be precise for exactly 72 hours, unless you kiss them within the time period."

Harry grinned, "Okay, well let's get Ron and go down to breakfast." After leaving the boys; dorm, they couldn't find Ron anywhere, and weren't at all surprised when they saw him already scarfing down food at the Gryffindor table.

"Hey, what took you two so long?" Ron asked through a mouthful of toast, "You know the later you come down, the less food there is!"

"Yeah," Hermione said, sitting down beside him, "Because you eat it all."

Ron made a face at her as she and Harry both filled their plates, "I need food to keep my perfect form, Hermione!"

She rolled her eyes at him, taking a small bite of her breakfast. Harry smiled at their friendly banter. Ever since the war ended, their relationship was envied by most couples. They weren't just cute and cuddly, but they never fought anymore. And now being in their eighth year of Hogwarts, or rather, a redo of the seventh year they missed, they could see eachother still daily and have what felt like a normal high school sweet heart relationship.

Ron's eyes got wide as he stared at the door, "Bloody hell, Malfoy's got Icebox fever! Look!"

Harry's face scrunched up in confusion, and Hermione's face turned red, not even needing to look up.

Harry looked straight up at a pale Slytherin, his face had the lightest blush and a scowl.

And dark blue hair.

Harry gasped and looked away as he took his seat with the other returning Slytherins. "Ron, what is Icebox fever?"

"Oh, well it's this wizard sickness," Ron said as-a-matter-of-factly, "I got it when Hermione was at the burrow over the summer. The only symptom is your hair turns dark blue for three days. And there is no spell to make it go away," He chugged the rest of his pumpkin juice, jumping up from his seat, "I gotta go, I promised Neville I'd help him become a better flier. See you later, 'Mione," He leaned down, pecking her on the cheek before leaving out of the great hall.

"Icebox fever?" Harry asked lightly.

Hermione flushed, "I had to be sure he was the one, Harry," she said, "and there was no way I was going to tell him what the spell really did. So, I made up Icebox fever. The spell is so unheard of that I figured he would never see anyone else with the dark blue hair!"

Harry made a face, looking back at Malfoy, making Hermione giggle, "I can't believe Draco Malfoy is your soul mate!" She looked thoughtful for a moment, "Although, it really isn't that unbelievable, I mean, you have so many things that you could connect with."

"Oh, yeah, so much," Harry said sarcastically, "He worked for the man who killed my parents, and he must've had the same awful kind of upbringing I did, coming from such a wealthy family."

"That isn't fair, Harry," Hermione huffed, "You know he was forced to the dark side, and his upbringing was awful, didn't you read his interview with The Prophet? He did a tell all about all of the awful things his father did to him and his mother, and it isn't too far off from what you told me about your relatives," She sighed and grabbed his hand, squeezing, "And it's rare to come by that sort of connection."

"What do you mean?"

"A connection based off of empathy," Hermione smiled at him, "No one will be able to understand the things you've been through better than he will."

Harry grinned at her, before looking back at Draco. He was ducking at the table trying to eat his breakfast with too much comment on his hair.

"I hope you don't let your fears get in the way."

"I won't," Harry said getting up as he saw Draco leaving the great hall, "I already know he's my soul mate. Why would I give that up?"

"Remember Harry, his hair goes back to normal when you kiss him," She grinned at him, "True love's first kiss."

Harry scrunched up his nose, "That's so cheesy, Hermione."

She nodded, "Just go get him, Harry!"

He nodded and rushed out of the great hall, speeding after the blue head of hair on the tall Slytherin bouncing as he speed-walked down the hallway.

"Malfoy!" He called out, causing the boy to speed up, "Malfoy, hold on!" He called again, the boy groaning and spinning in his tracks, glaring at him.

"What, Potter?!" Malfoy seethed, "Are you stopping me to tell me that my hair looks awful, or that blue isn't my color?" He huffed and put his hand on his hips, "Because I don't need you to tell me that Potter, I know that blue isn't color, green is. So, you can quit your judgmental staring and just-"

He was cut off when Harry grabbed the front of his shirt, smashing his lips to Draco's, forcing his mouth open with his tongue biting his lip, pulling at it with his teeth. Malfoy was stunned, to say the least, before melting into it, bringing his hands to grasp at the sides of Harry's face.

That is, before he realized what he was doing.

He pushed Harry away forcefully, "What on Earth are you doing, Potter?!"

Harry smiled at him, before transfiguring a painting (much to the man in the portrait's protest) into a mirror and gesturing for Draco to look. He raised an eyebrow, before turning, jumping at his hair turning back to it's original shade of blonde.

"I-I don't understand-" Malfoy panicked, "Y-you, how d-did-"

"Hermione showed me a spell that turns your soulmate's hair blue, and it goes away once you kiss them," Harry said nervously, "So I did the spell, and well, your hair turned blue."

Malfoy turned to Harry, biting his lip, "I know the spell, Potter," He said with a sigh, and.... A hint of a smile? "I just can't believe you're really my soulmate."

Harry raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean by that?"

"I mean," He hesitated before grabbing Harry's hands, "Ever since you saved me that awful day from the fire... I can't stop thinking about you."

Harry grinned at him, "I must say, I thought us getting together would be a lot harder than this."

Malfoy smirked, leaning to whisper in his ear, "Oh, you're not getting rid of me anytime soon."

And Harry wouldn't have it any other way.

A/N: Hey!! I know it's a bit cheesy, not the plot line, but the way I wrote it, I just really love all that fluffy stuff. Anyways, I would love more oneshot suggestions!! It doesn't even have to be where they're first getting together, it could be like a glimpse into their lives together, or like an angst/fight one where things end bad. Remember, all requests get dedication to the people who request!! Thanks for reading!!
