Part Three: Duel of the Fittest

Tj walks by the male prep room for battle "Be safe Skye and good luck" Tj says with a smile "I will love, and you as well" Skye replies. Walking into the room scanning the musty room, and then locked on to a familiar face. Tj looks at the man and wonders then it clicked, "Yo Jr is that you?" Tj says scanning him still, the man looks up and smiles, he then grabs a stone hung by a special necklace, activating it with a fainted red glow changing his appearance. Revealing a dark velvet hoodie with many charms and stones. "No, I'm the top alchemist around here, Varron" he states now scowling at Tj then he turns and heads for the exit. Tj confused on the sudden change of attitude he snaps out of the moment entirely, then he preceded to take inventory of his gear flipping his book back around to his front. After ravaging the bag he pulls out three lightning and fire cloud stones, a fire rhino, and three energy deflecting stones meant to take on hits from energy, fire, and wind. "Alright I'm ready and that guy is definitely on my list on who to watch for, damn creep," Tj says as he places his battle gear into his pouch on his right-hand side of his waist, after finishing he puts his pack in an empty locker and proceeded to the dueler check-in. Walking through an illuminated hallway full of blue and green touch bugs in jars, giving a calming vibe. Reaching the end of the glowing hallway Tj sighs before opening the two heavy metal doors in front of him, unleashing a storm of voices and cheers. Looking around the massive pyramid shape arena, along the walls were bleachers for the duels, double stacking to fit as many people as possible.
Tj then walks over to a rather small line with four other fighters and that creep Varron was the first in the line to sign in then instantly making his way to the waiting room. Each fighter signed in then proceeded to the duel arena, after waiting on the last contender to finish, Tj came to sign his name but noticed the name Varon wasn't on the paper, instead of his name. Baffled, Tj proceeded to the arena. Once entering a decent size waiting area where many fighters waited their turn to show their might, but most in the room were gathered around a huge sphere broadcasting the fight that's currently in place. Tj walks over interested tuning into the battle, staring with slight amazement, a slim lady was taking on this towering brute, charging with determination she claps her hands then yelled her attack, "Spellbind: Spirit Ion Cannon" the woman states then launching a green hyper beam at the brute. The brute standing about seven feet tall claps his hands together just in time, with a baritone gruff voice the man yells "Spellbind: Steeldome Barricade" then slamming his palms against the ground instantly creating half a sphere shape wall to cover his gigantic size. The energy beam striking only seconds after the wall emergence, exploding on impact causing some debris to fly up from the blast. The smoke clearing showing a cracked blacking with slit metal bull, crumbling the brute charges through a decent lace taking and hammer off his back, swinging it above his head, "Feel the Earth- Sinkhole Emergance!" Smacking the hammer against the ground opening sinkholes tactically around the woman to keep her from escaping out of range. The woman jumps up reaching in a pouch on the back of her waist, she pulls out a red stone launching it under her, "Stone Burst: Flaming River Seige!". The woman shouts clapping her hands for the following spell. The stone struck the remaining ground then exploded into a 25-foot radius of fire covering the area, then the woman landing directly across from the brute, she clasped her hands together, "Spellbind - Wind PSI Bullet" an almost whistle-like noise came out her mouth launching an invisible force striking the brute in the stomach sending him towards the force field. Colliding with the shield, the brute was instantly knocked out with sheer force alone from the blast. The crowd starts the cheer as the woman boasts of her winning such a battle, Tj amazed, he walks away from the sphere processing the skills she displayed, "Looks like I'm going to have to step my game up if I don't want to be like that guy." The announcement of the winner shocked him with a loud and obnoxious voice, the host yells, "Theeee winner is Deja Yaz" everyone exploding in cheers and yells for her. Tj remembers the woman from his childhood, she an old friend who taught him how to use enchanted stones. Tj thinks to himself as he paces behind the amazed crowd, "This is my chance to tap into more of my uniabilities and gain an extra travel companion, she'll be perfect". Tj says pumping his fist then scans the room to make sure no one saw his self enjoyed motivation. The fighters started settling down as the arena was rebuilt in seconds by common spell users, once the last piece of rock formed perfectly in time to welcome the foot of the announcer, "Ladies and gentlemen that battle was vicious, but let's see what our famous pinuk have to offer and famous fire mage of the West Nidrea City," stating the announcer. Swinging his soulful arm in the air pointing with one finger in the heavens "Our city hero Byfune the Wind User of Akria!!!". The crowd burst into even more cheers sending their love at the hero with all content. The fighters stand across from each other. Byfune is in comfortable blue combat mage robes with a 14-inch double edge topaz sword to match his style, Nidrea was dressed in a fire warlock's robe with a hood on, and a gold firecrest on his back to represent his nature. The announcer looks at both fighters, feeling the tension and sweat building along his brow, he readies them "Ok you two, no level three spells or higher, and no murderous intent. Failure to follow these rules will lead to automatic death for the instigator, got it?" The announcer looking back and forth between them, receiving a nod from each, he backs up and launhes a launch stone in the air, "Stone Flash - Star Tear, let's begin!!!" As soon as the announcer stated the stone cracked in glowed in the air then exploded into a small bright light, triggering the fighters to charge at each other.
