Spellbound

part two: Into the Darkness

Skye crying over the Elder's lifeless body with tears falling on his body, Tj finally reaches his arm out the crater pulling himself up, he sees what happened. "Elder!" Tj says as he pulls himself out limping towards them. " Skye what happened tell me!" Tj says in confusion and sorrow "I don't know, an energy attack just phased through the Elder doing this" Skye says trying to talk through her sorrow. Tj looks up to see the entry hole for the attack and looking towards the exit zone. The beam shown to have made it further through the city, smoke illuminated from buildings in the path possibly killing others. Tj balls his fist and scowling he thinks "These bastards are going to pay" limping out of the arena doors after saying his graces for the Elder and comforting Skye, Tj heads towards the city clinic, as Tj passes bystanders in panic brushing past him with his tattered clothes and bruised, he made his way towards an arcane apparel outpost. Entering an old lady about 55 and no more then 5ft ran to Tj, her big salt and pepper fro bounced as she moved swiftly "Are you okay baby, you look horrible what happened, and what was that loud noise outside?" Tj looks to her his eyes watering "I'm sorry, Elder Kai was killed by a mysterious attack while we were training." she holds her hands to her face the moment she hears the news, unleashing her mourning heart from the lost of her husband. Tj staggers towards her bringing his arms around her shoulders for a big hug to comfort her, he then clasps her shoulders with both hands he pulls himself back. She looks from her palms back at Tj "I need you too get the best multi resistance mage manna armor you can conjure up" Tj says looking into her eyes, tears still constantly falling and her eyes red from the tears she nods "Ok dear but ima need you to promise you find who did this and get justice for my husband please?" She said with a a cry that almost escaped again "I will Elder Duma" Tj said as a tear fell down his eye. She then turns around to head towards her back room entering it while Tj relaxes his injured body against a shelf with an assortment of mineral jewelry, each embedded with specific elements and properties, long lasting and durable. These items aided adventurers and duel fighters for many years. Looking around the impressive mini shop full of armor and various apparel to aid, each had a variety of enchantments and mineral stones to strengthen their properties, these items were the best in the city. Shortly after admiring the shop, the lady appears again with a metal chest plated rope of armor with a hood and combat boots with a cloth outline and a hard multi mineral sole able to conduct and freely channel the users energy. Tj grabs his new armor looking into Elder Duma's eyes, "I will advenge him I promise" Tj says before fully taking the clothes from her. Noding her head in acknowledgement, she turns away and leans against the reception counter sobbing more from her lost. Tj stands in the doorway before leaving, clenching his fist and slaming it against the open door frame, he leaves with his head down. After exiting the shop he looks up to the beautiful blue sky filled with clouds shaped perfectly for its back ground. Fire pigeons pass over in a flock, ambers follow behind their tail wing. Looking back down he sees a familiar face, squinting he notices an old friend Luderan "Yo" the approaching man says with a brow up, the bulky built man said he then scans Tj up and down "Hmm did you battle man and what was that noise earlier?" He says, Tj in anger and sorrow he shakes his head no,"I was training with Elder Kai and when I was knocked out, a damn beam came out of nowhere killing Elder Kai and some civilians." Tj says looking at his comrade, Luderan shook his head while closing his eyes, "This is the second attack here in this city, I'll get my gear and meet back with you" the gruff man said, taking off past Tj. Tj turning towards his comrade seeing him off, he then continue towards his house. Once making it to the square one story house, he opens his wooden door revealing decent dwelling quarters with two sets of black cloth living room pieces, a couch, and love seat surround an oval shaped mystic sphere able to view whatever's being projected for entertainment. He then limps past his living room and towards his bedroom, two stalagmites of blue stone illuminated the room an in claim blue haze, going towards his bed he bends down and reaches under it grabbing a box the size of a sword, once getting on the bed he opened it revealing a black and grey steel sword with special engravings to channel lighting. Beside the sword lies a rolled scroll of him, Skye, Elder Duma, and Elder Kai and along with a class full of lightning users smiling at the artist. Smiling with watering eyes, he rerolls the scroll then closes the box and restoring back to its old resting place. Once doing so, Tj stood up and sheathed the sword on his back tilted towards his right side for an easy draw. He then walks over to his dresser opening the top drawer showing an assortment of mineral stones neatly placed in seven lines with stones of each nature and different abilities. After scanning them for a few seconds he grabs a topaz stone quite hollow and small, he clenched his fist tight around it hard enough to crack it once, doing so a light haze of energy swept over him healing the minor bruises or wounds that was created from the attack. After healing, Tj opens his hand holding the stone as he looks at the fading light of its energy seeping through its crack going out and instantly dissipating into the air. Then he continues to fill his pouch with every single stone, then refasten it to the left side of his waist. After doing the final checks to make sure he was fully ready, he confirms it by finishing grabbing a somewhat large rock the size of an apple with a water sign engraved in it. Once done, Tj left his house and headed towards the city gate. Now the city was under a high military alert, mage and arcane manna users traveld through the street now, some on buildings, others at check points, and few patrolling. Once making it towards his destination, Tj sees his sqaud is ready to go Skye, Deja, and Ludran were all armed and battle ready with determination, they all awaited Tj anxiously. Looking at his sqaud's main weapons Luderan is armed with a military standard issued earth battle hammer with quite a large head to it, and a way to show off his mucles and strength. Deja was equipped with multiple throwing knives and a decent sized satchel giving her choices to use her spells more widely while also having weaponary for slience. And Skye was equipped with twin sai on her back and one somewhat curved version of the sword Tj has along her waist. Once they all checked their gear one more time, they began their search on foot walking into the beatiful twin suns setting, giving the long and narrow road a beatiful view of the sunset coloring the skies almost completely orange.
