Dakota's eyes scintillated in the faint moonlight, shining with aberration and a craving for Adam's blood on his fingertips. Adam couldn't help but gape at Dakota's malignant visage, clutching a hatchet that would soon bear down on him. "D-Don't do this, Dakota!" he began to plea, but Dakota was well plunged into the quixotic thought victory. His aghast words could never reach the boy, no matter how loud he cried and his desperate intonation. Dakota's grin widened to his ears, his teeth like fangs, smiling at the sadistic homicide he was about to commit. Adam flashed Dakota one last doleful glance, so that at least one thought of change could sprout in his mind. But nothing did; Dakota's sole purpose was to kill Adam in hopes of supremacy. He perceptibly raised his arm and the hatchet went with it, and the more Adam watched him the edge became ever sharper. Dakota's leisurely actions were intended to instill a final bit of tranquility in his victim, to give him time to elicit his whole life. Turning pages like a storybook, with a brief feeling from each shooting through his veins, the blithe times, the disconsolate ones, causing a repentant feeling to sit in Adam's stomach. He couldn't do this, he couldn't do that, he couldn't spend more time with Kelby. His chapped lips curled into an tenuous smile, much obliged at the genial life he'd been granted, the life that would be ended by another one, adrift in tribulation. The hatchet faltered just above Dakota's head, pausing for the drama of the show, to leave the audience bated for the cessation of Adam from District 6. Then it swooped down, and carmine blood splattered the surroundings like a canvas.
