Sinbad x Fem!Reader

Summary: Being the second princess of Parthevia didn't come with any perks as far as you were concerned. Especially when the love of your life is basically number one on Parthevia's most wanted list.

A/N: If you haven't guessed it yet I'm writing something on rewrite the stars from the greatest showman. I just really liked this song and I thought maybe it would fit in this situation. If you haven't listened to it, then you will now!

The minute you put on that white dress with gold accents was the moment you remembered those striking gold eyes you saw every day as a child. You remembered all the times you snuck out just to see him one more time and play with him as kids. You remembered the fear and dread that climbed into your heart the moment you heard of him escaping Parthevia after being branded as a traitor to the crown. But worst of all... You remembered all the love you felt in your heart when you found out about his company and how he was prospering.

Unfortunately for you, the feeling of dread resurfaced when your father announced your engagement. Your love was forced into the dust and you tried forgetting all about it. It wasn't as easy as it sounded, you'd loved him for years, love like that just couldn't fade away.

"Wow, Y/N, you look stunning."

You turned to see your half-sister, Serendine. Yes, half-sister. Had you been born from her original parents you would've had her signature pink hair, you were born from one of her father's concubine's. Your mother died at birth, so now, you were stuck doing the king's bidding as he was your biological father.

You gave her a weak smile, "thank you," you said, turning back to the mirror in front of you. You had only wished that this was under better circumstances, like with the man you love. There it was again, those gold eyes, haunting you. One thing you had to be thankful for was the fact that you were never forced into what Serendine would wear, it was too revealing for you.

She seemed to see your weak smile and grab your arms to turn you to her. "Is something wrong?" She asked, clearly concerned.

You opened your mouth but quickly shut it. She couldn't know about your infatuation with him, not when all she wanted to do was gut him like a fish. Every time you heard her speak ill of him you wanted to spit something back at her, but with the fear of your father finding out, you kept your mouth shut.

"Nothing," you said, the same weak smile on your face, "I'm fine."

Seredine nodded, satisfied with your answer. She then walked out with Tamira and Sahel, her handmaidens, at her side. You soon realized how far apart you and Serendine really were, she didn't even realize how upset you clearly were. You took a deep breath and shook it off, you took a seat in front of a vanity you had and stared at yourself in the mirror. Sometimes it was hard to look, you felt fake like you weren't being true to yourself.

"You look troubled my princess."

You gasped and turned around to see the love your life, Sinbad, standing right there at the window sill. "Sinbad...?" You asked softly, slowly nearing him, "is that really you?"

He chuckled at your question and jumped from the window sill, landing in front of you. "Of course it's me, my princess," he said, smirking. You missed that.

You shook your head, "no, no. This is a dream..." you said to yourself while nodding, "I must've fallen asleep... This always happens."

Sinbad's brows scrunched at what you said and grabbed your hand, "my love, this is real. I promise you that," he said softly while placing a hand on your cheek.
