Pure Innocence (John Shelby love story)

Chapter 3

As the Sun rose, so did the people of Small Heath getting ready for the day ahead and so was the Shelby's. They for once just had a normal day as they would call a day of rest.

With nothing to do John couldn't help but ponder who the girl he saw was. She definitely wasn't from around here if she was then he would of noticed her a long time ago "John what's got you so distracted?" Asked aunt polly John just shook his head "A girl I saw in then bookstore" as a chuckle was heard Tommy had walked in "A girl has got Johnny boy distracted, who is she?" Tommy asked "that's the thing, I have no clue as to who she is, she's definitely New around here" as the three of them sat there in silence wondering if they had heard any news of these new people "we will have to find out who they are" polly finally said.

"ISABELLA COME DOWN HERE" Grace shouted up the stairs excited to tell her daughter some news, Isabella softly rubbed her eyes and climbed out of bed, as she tightly fastened her robe walking down the stairs "yes mother?" Isabella asked "Guess what" her mother asked eagerly "I got the job, I got the job at the bakery" her mother proudly stated jumping up and down causing Isabella to squeal "congratulations mother, you got your dream job finally!!" Isabella said as she hugged her mother tightly "when do you start?" Grace looked at the clock "I have to go now i start at 9am and finish at 3pm" she replied, Isabella nodded her head "good luck mother" she called as Grace walked away to get her coat "bye darling" and with that Isabella was left alone in a house with no idea what to do next "maybe I shall explore more" she thought to herself.

As the Isabella walked down the street her dress was flowing beautifully, people who passed couldn't help but stare at her beauty, As Isabella turned back on to the road where the Garrison is she noticed it was quite busy. Kids playing down the road but what caught her attention most was the men in long black coats with caps on their head, they looked quite dangerous Isabella thought to her self "hey there missy aren't you just a pretty little thing" one of them called which caught the others attention too but only one caught Isabella's eyes, she looked down trying to avoid talking to them "who are you?" One asked as she looked back up at them "my names Isabella Smith" she shakily replied "my names John Shelby, your not from around here are you?" He asked "No, I moved here with my mother" she replied looking into his eyes that she couldn't help but admire "very well, we have to get going we have business to attend too" another called "alright Arthur, pleasure meeting you Isabella" John turned around and they all began to walk into the Garrison.

Isabella couldn't sleep that night, all she could picture was the guy with the amazing eyes, unaware of why she seemed to like them so much. As she tossed and turned more, she finally fell asleep.

"So John boy, that's the girl you was talking about? She's a beautiful little thing" Arthur asked John "yes that was her, at least now I know her name" he replied "what is her name?" Tommy asked "Isabella Smith" and with that tommy froze "what's wrong tommy?" John asked "smith, her father and I worked together a long time ago, he wrote me a letter not long ago telling me his wife and daughter was moving here soon and to look after them, he said something was coming, something big" and with that, all three Shelby boys sat and wondering what was to happen.
