Maybe more than friends

Lucy's POV:
"We're the group of mages that took your request about the dark guild."

"Oh thank you, thank you." The man said while he let us in. "May I offer you some tea."

"That's very kind of you but no thanks." I responded.

"Let's get down to business. The guild is unnamed, all they said to us is 'we are a dark guild give us what we want and we will consider sparing your putrid lives.' We did what he told us and he still killed most people. I hid in my house because it is the closest to the woods. But unfortunately my granddaughter was killed right before my eyes." The man said. I couldn't help but cry.

"That's horrible." I said.

"Those.....basterds. They tried to kill. I don't know how many people they want to make suffer until their satisfied. BUT I WONT TAKE IT!" Natsu said. I knew he would say something like that. I just couldn't help but smile knowing how caring he is to a stranger in need.

"We'll take care of those sick twisted wizards for you." Gray said, I can see the hatred in his eyes for these mages.

Natsu's POV:
I cant stop thinking of Lucy. When she found out about these wizards and how they killed that nice mans granddaughter, she cried. They....made Lucy cry. THEY MADE HER CRY!

"Natsu you ok? You look kinda tense." Said the blond mage.

"I'm fine." I lied. I know but I can't see her more upset, it breaks my heart. Why do I feel weird when I'm around her. But I don't want Gray to get close to her. She's my friend or.......... maybe more than just friends to me. Luce is my everything. I will protect her.

*rustle, rustle*

I turn around and when I sniff the air that's when I knew.... " GET DOWN GUYS!" As they get down an arrow shot right above Lucy. How dare those basterds attempt to hurt her, they messed with the wrong guild.

"Thanks for that." Says Lucy.

"Anything for a friend." My heart hurts when I say that to her.

"ICE MAKE HAMMER!" Gray yells while smashing a hammer in a wizard behind Lucy.

"Wow, Thanks Gray."

"It was nothin." Wait is Gray trying to show me off. 'That basterd' is the only thing running through my brain right now.

We finished the job, Gray went home, Lucy went to talk a bath and I'm with Happy.

"So did you kiss her."

"Wha..."

"Did you kiss Lucy, I can see it in your eyes, yyyooouuuuuu llllllooooooooovvvvvveeeeee heeeeerrrrrrrrrrr." He Said.

"No I don't."

"Then it's ok if Loki asks her out."

"WHAT NO WAY IN HELL THAT WOULD HAPPEN!"

"Knew it."

"Shut up, maybe I do love her but why does it matter to you."

"Mira and I made a deal, if you and Lucy kiss then I get 500,000 jewels!"

Happy's POV:

Honestly he's not fooling anyone. Natsu and I walked in the guild this morning and noticed Luigi isn't here. So Natsu got worked up, he acted like an over protected father.
But when the guild ask what's going on he says 'I'm just looking out for a friend' I don't even know how Marco falls for that.
