The ballerina turned gracefully upon her stage within her gallery. Her music was blasting - but yet it was as calm as a lullaby.
Loved.
The children loved her.
Ballora turned and spun as if she wasn't made of metal - but of feathers, or air.
Pure beauty.
"Mama, look at the pretty ballerina dance!"
"Can we do ballet?""Look at her little babies!"
"She's so pretty!"Loved.
The children loved her.
Ballora was enjoying her dance.
She enjoyed seeing the children.
And she always kept count.
Two.
Four.
Two.
Four.
Three.
None.
Two.
There was never only one.
Never.
Ballora's Gallery was located near the prize counter - where a very upset Afton child sat, urging and begging her father to allow her to go and see Circus Baby, her very own animatronic.
Ballora listened to the child from a distance as she continued her dance.
It broke her heart to hear the girl's pleas.
Why wouldn't Mr. Afton let her go see Baby?
They loved the children.
And the children loved them.
"Daddy, why won't you let me see her?"
As Ballora listened carefully to the child, she also overheard her friends in FunTime Auditorium entertaining their audience.
The laughter from both the auditorium and Circus Baby's stage broke Ballora a bit.
She wasn't as popular as the animatronic bear, fox, or clown. But the children who saw her appreciated her - and that's all she needed.
Two.
Four.
Six.
Two.
One.
One?
Yes. At one point, there was only one.
But Ballora continued her dance.
Nothing was different.
When there was only one within her gallery, there was nothing Ballora could do except continue her dance - for Mrs. Afton was far too big to fit into any of her compartments.
Soon, through her music and the laughter of the other children, in the distance, there was screaming for a moment.
But only for a moment.
