3rd person POV

Pria was running as fast as her legs could possibly carry her. When she heard the distinct growling and foul smell of a rogue, Pria knew what she had to do. Right as the red eyed beast was about tackle her to the ground, she dropped her bag with spare clothes and water, and shifted into her light grey wolf that was almost the size of an Alpha wolf. She never knew why her wolf this size because she couldn't remember anything from her past. All she knew was she was a strong wolf. So she used her strength to take down the rogue wolf. As she was fighting with the beast it managed to scratch her side. As it did though its neck was unguarded; she took this as an opportunity strike. She bit down the rogues neck cutting off its oxygen and ending its life.

She managed to walk away with just the one scratch and a slight limp. She decided to stay in her wolf form so she could heal faster. Seeing as the sun was setting she decided to rest for the night then shift back in the morning.

Pria woke with the sun rise that morning. She shifted back into her human form, put on her spare clothes and started walking. She was alway on the move, ever since she was young she'd been on the move, trying to find her mate. The only memory she had of her parents was a picture attached to piece of paper with a note on it that read,

"Pria,

We know this note won't make up for what we've done; but we need you to know that whatever you do, don't stop moving, keep walking until you find your mate. You will know you've found him or her when you either smell your favorite scent, hear their name, or look them in the eyes.

Just know that when you find him or her you can stop running let them protect, love and care for you. All the things that we couldn't do. We are genuinely sorry for what we've done; but we did it all to protect you.

With love,

Mom and Dad."

They look so happy in the picture. By now she has all her things packed and started walking. But something felt off. She felt like something was wrong. They she realized that she had walked out of No Man's Land and onto a pack's territory.
