Mrs. Lester was surprised to see how far away Phil had gotten. It took her plenty of time to get to him. Shed thankful that he was making stops, because he could have made it much farther.
Her worry about her son turned into relief when she learned were he was. But anxiety filled her with a mother's want to see her child.
