~ Chapter 17: It's finally over ~

"So how's Rebekah doing" Alex asked me, it was the day after Rebekah found out about dad killing her mom.

"Not good, she's angry and upset with dad" I replied taking a sip of my coffee mixed with blood, the best drink in the world.

"And that's never a good thing" he said.

"Tell me about it" I mumbled. I put my cup in the sink "well I'm going out."

"Where" Alex asked quickly.

I raised an eyebrow at him "to call my dad" I said slowly.

"Oh right, so you going homecoming?" he asked.

"I don't have a choice, but I do need a dress."

Alex chuckled at me, "why don't I go with you" I looked at him weirdly "oh come on I've know you forever I know what you look good in and what you don't."

I thought about it for a moment "ok fine I'll meet in town in an hour, don't be late" I smiled at him before leaving the kitchen.

I was sitting on a bench in a park, the sun was shinning down, kids were running around playing with their friends and family, it reminded me of my childhood, full of laugher happiness. Finally I got the courage to call dad. Here we go. The phone only rang once before dad picked up the phone.

"Why the hell haven't you been answering the phone" dad raged from the other end.

"You left me" I answered simply.

I heard him sigh on the other end all his anger vanishing "it was necessary."

I laughed angrily "necessary, you left me in the middle of parking lot. On the floor."

"Well to be fair love I didn't have much time to take you to a bed, I was in a bit of a rush" I could tell he was smirking.

"Oh stop smirking" I snapped "why do you think I wasn't answering your calls" I asked rhetorically.

"Because your stubborn" he answered anyway.

"Why didn't you think id be safer with you if Mikael got awaken, the safest place I'd be is with you."

"No you wouldn't Faith, Mikael wants me dead more than you, that's why I left you he's coming after me the further away you are from me the better."

"Oh right" I said shocked I didn't expect that, "are you coming to pick me up soon I miss you I" told him.

"Of course sweetheart, I've built up a pretty large army of hybrids so I don't need to worry about Mikael anymore, I'll be back in a few days."

"Ok I'll see you then by" I hung up the phone leaving the park and heading to town.

"Ew, no, dull, hideous" I said as I looked for different dresses so far I had found nothing to wear, or something I even liked.

"I hope your talking about the clothes" Alex said behind me I shot him a look before turning back to the clothes.

"Feeling insecure" I asked teasingly.
