~ Chapter 23: Why ~

The next morning when I woke my head was on Alex's chest flashes of the night before came to find causing me to smile. I raised my head slightly to see Alex looking down on me. "morning" he said his voice raspy.

"Morning" I replied.

"Last night was amazing" he told me.

"Do you regret it" I asked him sitting up and resting against the headboard.

"What no of course not do you."

"No, not at all" I swung my legs off the bed standing up and stretching "I have to go" I told him over my shoulder.

"Why" he pouted.

"Because my dads already going to kill so I'm going to try and sneak in" I told him putting my dress back on "I'm glad you didn't destroy this dress."

"I thought I'd be a little bit courteous."

I looked behind me to see Alex smirking "well at least put trousers on it would be rude to not walk me out" Alex pulled on pants and walked downstairs. I stopped in my tracks when I saw Rebekah in her dress from last night with Damon "aunt becks" I said eyes wide.

Rebekah turned to me her face went to shock to a smirk "Daisy, I would ask what your doing here but I can guess."

My cheeks turned red from embarrassment but I rolled my eyes at her. I turned my head to Alex "I'll call you later if I'm still alive" I kissed him on the cheek as me and Rebekah left the house but not before smirking at a shocked Elena who stood at the doorway.

"I'm in a world of trouble aren't I" I said to Rebekah as we both walked into the house.

"Oh yes, Alex better move to another state by the end of the night" she replied.

"Great" I muttered as we approached the room in which dad and Kol were in. Time to face the music, we both walked through the doors both men turned to face us, the minute dad saw me still in my dress from yesterday his eyes lit up with fury.

"Well, well, well there's our girls" Kol teased as Rebekah tried to walk past him.

"Get out of my way Kol" she said through gritted teeth.

"Out all night what a scandal I trust you did better than that commoner Matt was it, and you little Mackenzie I do hope you didn't go crawling back to that pathetic ex of yours" Kol said.

I rolled my eyes at him "if you don't shut your mouth the next thing to come out of it will be your teeth" Rebekah said to him.

"I'm agreeing with aunt becks, and I have magic so watch it" I warned him.

"Don't start Nik" Rebekah said when she saw him smirking.

We both pushed past Kol and I went to sit next to dad "I didn't say anything" he replied.

"But you want to especially to me" I said to him.

"I'm just surprised you finally confronted your feeling for him" I was surprised by dads no violence answer "but that doesn't mean that he shouldn't watch his back. I'd leave the country if I was him" he added and there it was.
