"I swear if this doesn't work imma gonna kill you" Lexi said to me.
"It will work" I place a clear crystal necklace over her neck "you'll be channelling my energy so as long as I'm fine you'll be fine."
"Okay" she slipped the necklace under her shirt.
"Plus we're only there for one night so what could go wrong."
"Famous last words" she mumbled, I picked my overnight bag up containing mine and Lexi's clothes.
"I love that song" I felt Lexi's eye roll, we left my room and made our way downstairs where dad, Caroline was waiting for us.
"You girls ready" Caroline asked.
"Yeah" I gave dad my overnight bag and everyone left out to the car, I looked behind me and saw Hayley "I'll catch you up" I called to Lexi, she waved her arm in response "you sure you don't want to come" I asked her.
"Two days in Mystic Falls, I think I'll pass" she replied.
"So what are you going to do?"
She sighed "oh I dunno try to get Elijah to talk to me, hang out in the bayou that sort of thing."
"Well I think Elijah wouldn't mind having a little chit chat with you" she had told me about the near kiss.
"Don't you have somewhere to be" she grabbed my shoulders and turned me around.
"Alright, alright I'm going have fun with Elijah" I laughed and dodged the pillow she threw at me

Being stuck in a car with your dad, his girlfriend / your friend, your aunt and your ghost best friend was somehow not as fun as it sounded, didn't help that our destination was literally hell on earth, it felt that like centuries before we pulled up outside the old Mikaelson mansion, it felt like a lifetime ago since I had been back here.
"Damn this is nice" Lexi said upon seeing the house.
"Thanks" dad smirked.
Lexi looked at me confused "dad designed this place so you just gave him an ego boost."
"Great" she threw her head back as we walked in, nothing had changed "so what's the plan for today."
