Chapter 5

Surprise!

Shawn's POV

"Hey, Savannah!" I greet.

"Hey Shawnie! What's up?" My beautiful girlfriend replies.

"Well Cat is having her b-day party next Sunday, ya know," I say, "maybe we could go?"

"Sounds great! After all she wasn't able to do it on the actual day," Savannah frowns.

"Great! Wanna get her something?" I ask and Savannah nods.

After we go shopping, we get Cat something special. Something she has always wanted. But that for later...

Timeskip to next Sunday.

Cat's POV

I hear the doorbell ring and there was two of my best friends.

"Savannah! Shawn! How are my favorite couple doing today?" I greet.

I hug both of them and let them in.

"So how are you and Harry?" Savannah asks over the loud music.

I start to tense, "Um I don't wanna talk about it..."

"Okay..." She says and gets to where the drinks are.

I dance for what seems like hours. Of course I had a decent DJ who played ONLY pop songs. Thank goodness... It came to a slow Adele song and I started tearing up. I ran to my room, sat on my bed, and cried.

Shawn's POV

I catch a glimpse of someone leaving the room. It was Cat.

"Hey Savannah, I'm gonna go check on the birthday girl," I inform.

She nods and I catch up to Cat. Her door was closed so I knocked.

"Go away!" She cries.

"Cat, it's Shawn," I say, opening the door to see her on her bed, crying.

"Cat, what's wrong?" I say rushing over beside her.

"Har-ry broke up w-with m-me," she sobs.

I hug her and rub her back, "It's gonna be okay Cat, it was a matter of time."

"What do you mean?" Cat sniffles.

"Harry told me that he was gonna cheat on you with Cathy. The next day, Cathy told Vannah and I that he raped her," I say sadly.

"That b*tch," Cat says angrily.

She wraps her arms around me and cried into my chest. I pat her back and hug her back. No should have to go through this.

"Now, let's go enjoy the rest of your party," I smile as Cat pulls away.

"Let's," she smiles back.

I lead her downstairs and we enjoy the rest of the night.
