Chapter 2

I woke up to noise anywhere in Kattegat.

I quickly turned over trying to get back to sleep. When I turned I felt a body right next to me. Freaking out, I rolled off the bed.

"HOLY HELL!!!" I said in a whisper/yell tone.

"What...oh my gods I have to go." Björn said.

"I slept with you?" I asked.

"I-I...yes." He said.

"What the actual fruit. You need to get back." I said quickly.

"Yeah. I know."

"Goodbye, Björn. We do not need to speak of this." I said.

"Agreed."

With that Björn quickly left and I got dressed.

I had no absolute idea what happened.

1 Month Later

Nothing has really been happening. I woke uo to no noise that morning. After a little while
I went and sat down beside Aslaug in the Great Hall for breakfast.

She grabbed my hand.

"Thana, what happened?" She said worried.

"I-I...I slept with Björn." I whispered.

"Oh, darling. It tis okay. Margrethe stayed with Ivar." She said.

"I know."

I turned my head to see Ubbe arguing with Ivar who grabbed Margrethe's hand and kissed it.

I got up quickly and ran outside. It wasn't because of them. It was because I felt the urge to puke.

I heard Aslaug behind me. She pulled my hair back.

Then Lagertha and Björn walked ove with Ragnar following behind.

"What's wrong?" Ragnar asked worried.

"I don't know." Aslaug said.

The Great Hall doors opened and all the Ragnarssons ran outside.

"I have a question." Lagertha said.

All of the sons, Ragnar, Aslaug, and Lagertha were surrounding me.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Tis it possible you are with child?" She asked.

"Yes." I said panicking.

"Then who is the father?" Ivar and Hvitserk questioned while everyone else was quite.

I looked up at Björn and he looked at me.

"Björn's the father?" Ragnar questioned, shocked.

I nodded and Ivar looked very angry.

"I am going to be an uncle?" Sigurd and Ubbe questioned.

I nodded again.

"Ivar-" I said but he cut me off.

"Don't. Say. Anything. To. Me."

"Shut up. You spent the night with Margrethe." Aslaug said.

I was surprised that Aslaug would say that to her favorite son.

"I should go." I said and ran to my hut.

I sat on my bed and cried. I couldn't handle. I was pregnant by Björn and now Ivar is mad at me.

"Don't cry." Said a familiar voice.

I raised my head uo to see my father.

"Father?" I said.

"It's me." He said.

I got uo and hugged him.

"I finally see you after 7 years." I cried.

"Yes. I heard you are carrying Björn's child. Don't worry. Ivar will forgive you. I want you to know I have to leave again and won't be back for a while."

"Yes Father. I love you."

"I love you too, my darling. I love you too." He said before disappearing.

"Thana. You know what happened isn't just your fault. Ivar should be mad at me too. I am the one that had sex with you. You can't impregnate yourself." Björn said, coming in my hut.

I ran and hugged him. "Please don't leave me. Please."

"I won't. I will always take care of you and our child or children." Björn said.

I pulled back and he leaned down to kiss me. I quickly kissed back.

"What are we gonna do?" I asked.

"We will do everything we can to make this work. I promise."

I walked outside and saw that it was getting dark and no one was outside.

"Can I stay here?" Björn asked.

"Of course." I said.

We walked to my bed and quickly fell asleep for the night.
