Being best friends with Ashton meant that when your house was being renovated, you stayed with him. You had always been close friends so it seemed like the best and easiest option.

You didn't take into account the feelings that you had for him because you didn't think that you would be affected by him that much but that turned out to be the understatement of the century.

Everything he did made you fall for him even more, that was until you walked into the lounge to see a random girl sitting there on Ashton's lap. You felt a surge of jealously rip through your body but you tried to be civil for Ashton's sake.

"Hi," you said faking a smile as your eyes scanned the beautiful girl in front of you. Her blonde hair was impeccable and it reached the waist of her very slim figure. It was natural for you to compare yourself to her, it was something that all girls did but it didn't hurt any less. Ashton smiled at her and something snapped inside you.

You left the room as quickly as you physically could half walking half running back to your room, where you spent the next 5 minutes pacing back and forth. You were angry and upset all at once. There was a faint knock on the door and when you opened it, the blonde haired girl was standing there.

"He asked me to come here," she said but you completely blanked her, your face showing no emotion, "He wanted to make you jealous." Your eyes widened at her confession and she chuckled at your reaction.

"What?" you asked in complete and utter disbelief.

"He asked me to come over to try and make you jealous so he could see whether you liked him or not," she explained and that's when Ashton entered the room, a sheepish look on his face, "Guess it's my time to leave."

She left you all alone with Ashton, who refused to look you in the eye. You grabbed the nearest thing to you, which just happened to be a hairbrush and threw it at him.

"Ow (Y/N), bloody hell that hurt," Ashton groaned and you threw a pillow at him before turning away from him.

"Yeah but I bet it didn't hurt as much as you just hurt me, physical pain hurts less than emotional pain," you explained, obviously exaggerating on your actual feelings.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to see if you actually got jealous or not, I wanted to see if you liked me," Ashton said, a guilty look on his face before he held his hand out to you which you refused to take, you were going to make him work for your forgiveness, "I like you too by the way."

You sat down on your bed, trying not to crack a smile as he grabbed your hands, against your will, pulling you up so that your chest was pressed against his.

"I'm sorry, forgive me?" Ashton murmured as he placed his index finer underneath your chin and lifted your face up to look at him.

He leaned in, his lips ghosting over your lips, as you held your breath. His lips met yours, his hands on your waist, your hands in his hair. Nothing was better than kissing Ashton. Nothing.
