Wailing. A familiar noise in my household. Or so I thought for a moment. Then, I realized that Adrian was too old to sound like this when he pulled his temper tantrum. There wasn't a baby in my house! Was there? I mean, I could've sworn that the baby wasn't due until a little while with Eliza.
Until I heard dad call out to me, "Phoebe, come on up here!" I dropped my school bag, and walked into the nursery that used to be Adrian's room. Now it was decorated for a girl. And in dad's arms was-
"Oh my god! It's the baby! What's her name? It is a her, right? I hope I'm not assuming her gender! When was she born?" He chuckled, "All those questions will be answered in due time, I promise, but for now, I would like you to hold her. She likes the sound of the guitar, and I can't play with a baby in my arms."
He instructed me on how to hold her.
And then began to play the guitar that he'd bought new.
"Hey there Delilah.
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do. . ."
He finished off pretty quickly, and then began to speak, "Okay, that's your little sister, who was born this morning. Her name is Justice Delilah Grillby. Yes, she is a girl."
