Sombra awakened to his dog, Precious, whimpering. "Hey... Precious.". Sombra yawned. After he got out of bed, he made coffee and checked on Chrysalis. He set his coffee cup down, sat on her bed, and gazed upon her beauty. "So beautiful~.". Sombra thought. As he moved her hair out of the way, she yawned and fluttered her eyes open. "Good morrow, love~.". Sombra whispered. Chrysalis yawned, "Morning...". They talked for a while, then Sombra thought of something incredible! They had been together for six and a half months straight! It was about time he asked her something that would change their lives forever. 

That night, Chrysalis went to the seashore and looked around. "No sign of Sombra...". She muttered to herself. then she sat down, and gazed upon the stars. She sighed softly, smiling. Then Sombra came and said, "Well... I was wondering when you would be coming.". Chrysalis smiled at Sombra, nuzzling him. Sombra then held her hoof, and asked, "Have you ever danced in the stars~?". Chrysalis grew saddened, "Sombra... I can't fly, remember?". Then Sombra turned to shadow, and lifted her onto a cloud. She giggled a bit. As they danced, Chrysalis laid her head against his chest. Sombra blushed a bit, yet smiled warmly. afterwards, when they laid on the sand, Sombra asked, "Chrysalis, I... you know how we have been together for a long time and...". Sombra sighed, unknowing how to ask her. Chrysalis gave a questioning look as he tried to say something. Finally he mustered up enough courage and said, "Will you marry me?". Chrysalis's eyes widened, then filled with tears. "My Queen? What's wrong?". Chrysalis sobbed softly, "Wh-why would choose me? Of anyone! I don't deserve you after all I've done!". Sombra smiled warmly as he wiped her tears away. "My Queen, you are worthy. I will love you no matter what you have done in the past. The past doesn't matter! The present and future does! Please, don't fret...". Chrysalis felt his hoof, so warm and comforting. Chrysalis finally sniffled, "Yes. I will marry you...". Sombra then leaned in and kissed her lips. Chrysalis's eyes widened. He withered wings flapped as if she was flying. Then, she fell under the control of his lips and wrapped her hooves around him, and their hearts began to soar!
