Chapter 11: To The Next World And Beyond

Stories are powerful things.

They tell of heroes who would sacrifice everything to save their loved ones.

They tell of villains who do unspeakable things.

They tell of people in the middle, who try to help but eventually fade away. 

I am one of those people.

Once upon a time, I had a real purpose.

Something worth fighting for.

A reason to keep trying.

Then I lost all of that.

Years went by, and I began to fade into the background while my friends took the spotlight.

Until the dream came along.

The dream has given me purpose.

But to be honest, I'm scared of that purpose.

Because if I fail, I don't think I'll get a chance to try again.

And if I fail, entire worlds might die.

So I won't fail.

I can't fail.

It's like they say: failure isn't an option.
