"If anyone is as creeped out as I am by this situation please raise your hand or forever hold your peace." Emma breathes out still trying to wrap her mind around all of this.

Liam and I shared an expression with a short raise of a hand.

"I don't have a sister. I know that." I state firmly and Emma gives me a sympathetic look as if she didn't know what to believe at this point.

I know my parents, they wouldn't lie and I know for a fact that girl isn't related to me in any shape or form. I would've heard about her by now!

"What if she's your doppelgänger?" Emma suggests as she takes a lick from her chocolate ice cream cone.

The three of us— no, my mistake! It's more like the two right next to me were the ones who thought it was a good idea to go get some ice cream to cheer me up, but I think we all know it was more for them than me.

I couldn't help but chew on my bottom lip while my brain tries to process all of this, why is this such a bad habit of mine?

"If you meet your doppelgänger in person isn't that a sign of bad luck?" Liam points out as he now scoops out the last of his ice cream.

My eyes widen at the sound of that and my hand instantly shoots out to give him a slight slap on his arm.

That's something I definitely didn't want to hear right now! I'm scared as it is and I don't need any more bad thoughts going through my brain.

"Seriously?!" I exclaim in panic and his mouth falls open like a fish out of water at the overwhelming amount of anxiety exploding from me. "I didn't mean it like that!" He defends poorly and I can't help but shoot him a deadpan stare. In return he attempts to ease my worries by slinging his arm over my shoulder and pressing his soft lips against the temple of my forehead.

My heart flutters at the simple gesture and my cheeks go warm at his touch.

I try to ignore the feeling in my stomach as I notice wide-eyed and very confused Emma. "What's going on here?" She questions with a wag of her finger in our direction.

Oops? I sorta forgot to tell Emma about this.

I'm definitely never going to hear the end of this one.

"Liam and I-" the words somehow got caught in my throat and I didn't know exactly how to tell my best friend that I'm dating the most popular guy at our school.

"Liam!" A familiar voice shouts.

All of us snapped out of the conversation we were currently having and I couldn't have been more thankful for that.

Logan Rivers, one of Liam's friends in his little groupie that he has at school. I also have chem class with him and Liam.

He has a huge smirk plastered on his face as he comes over to where we are currently sitting. The two of them did their bro handshake the one that all guys do and this earns a chuckle out of Emma. Chase's parents run one of the biggest yogurt palace's in New York City, and they helped Logan get a job here so he practically lives here now since he loves the job so much."Hey Giana and Emma."

"Hey." We say in unison with a slight wave.

"What are you doing here?" Logan asks with a teasing, knowing smirk pulling at the corner of his lips.

Am I missing something?

"Well, this is an ice cream shop. So, getting ice-cream." I replied with a smirk of my own. "Aren't you a smart one?" He chuckles with a roll of his eyes. "Thank you, Logan. I do like to consider myself quite smart as well. I've just never been the type to brag." I smile back innocently and I could see Liam biting back his laughter at my comeback.

Logan looks impressed that somebody actually spoke back to him and he nods his head in approval.
"Tell you what, Giana. I'll give you all the ice cream in the world for free,"

"Deal!" I squeal in excitement not caring to hear the rest. "If-" He begins to try to finish his statement again making me frown in disappointment. I wanted free ice cream, not an explanation— I really love ice cream! Especially if it's the free kind! It makes it taste a hundred times better.

"Why is there always an 'if.'" I whine childishly. "-If you can help me convince this one to go on a date with me." My eyes began to bulge out of my head and I thought they would've popped out at any second.

Emma's face heated up in embarrassment but I could tell she was clearly flattered by all of this. She's been really down because of Gabe lately so I'm happy that someone is giving her the attention she deserves.

"Nah, that's okay. I'd rather pay for my ice cream." I joked and Emma shoots me a deadly glare telling me to shut up already.

Liam looks annoyed by my comment and I look over at him confused. Did I say something wrong. "-so what about that date Emma?" He asks hopefully and I chew on my bottom lip in excitement for my best friend.

"Sure."

Liam didn't talk to me on the ride home after that. We've silently sat there the whole ride home and I can't help but feel slightly disappointed at this. How am I supposed to fix something if I don't actually know what I did wrong? Was I even wrong to begin with? I thought everything was fine between us. He made it seem like everything was all dandy for crying out loud! What could I've possibly done to make him upset?

I knew it was to good to be true.

Liam parks right in front of my house and I immediately look down at my feet as he turns to meet my gaze. I feel my heart pound in my chest rapidly as I take a shaky deep breath in as I prepare myself for what I'm about to ask next.

"What did I do wrong?"

I want to know! It will literally drive me insane if I don't. I will lay awake for hours replaying this single moment over and over again in my head until I try to finally figure everything out. Not that I'm not going to do that anyways but at least everything will end on a good note and it will definitely ease my worries!

"Nothing, Giana. Just go get some rest."

"Liam, I'm serious."

He looks like he was contemplating something that he wasn't sure if he wanted to tell me or not but decides to anyways.

"Are you into Logan?"
