The De Vega car and the calesa stop beside each other. Fernando and the Gardener get out of the car. Three armed Filipino GUERRILLAS get off the calesa and approach Fernando. They speak in Filipino.
GUERRILLA #1: [Señor Fernando, it's too dangerous for you to come here.]
FERNANDO: [I understand, Commander Luis. But our fighters need food and medicine.]
The Gardener opens the car trunk. We see boxes filled with canned goods and medical supplies. The Gardener and the two guerrillas transfer the supplies to the calesa.
GUERRILLA #1: [Thank you very much, Señor Fernando. You've always been a big help to the guerrilla movement.]
FERNANDO: [We all do the best we can for our country.]
