Bad Weather

I wonder what would happen if I could control time,

If space was an object in my mind,

Swim deep in the ocean, the sun's blue light,

And hit the rocky shores, rain falling from the heights.

I attempted to escape the vengeful coast,

The threatening lightning seemed to boast,

The food in the fire never seemed to roast,

It made me ill, it heightened my hoast.

My chest began to crackle and ache,

My body proceeded to tremble and shake,

My head was spinning around worse than any earthquake,

From the overdose of stolen pills I tried to take.

Dizzy, appalling,

The sky starts falling,

I'm sure I could hear my mother's voice calling,

But I laid in the woods, weak and bawling.

I've awoken, opened my eyes,

I didn't remember having to cry,

Why wasn't my face dry,

I look up to the tree, dripping from high.

It's more of a roof than out from under,

All around me was fallen lumber,

The dark clouds swirled, accompanied by thunder,

Is this my fate, I can't help but wonder.

I feel myself getting pale,

My teeth began to rot of ale,

My body was feeling drained and frail,

As one by one, blood seeped from my nails.

Crawl up the steepest hill,

It was me they tried to kill,

Passed out there, tried to lay still

Down my back, traveled a single chill.

Revived again,

All I could do was stand in the rain,

Think of all the unbearable pain,

As I slowly trudged through the flooded lane.
