look at them
in those magazines
chiseled to perfection
not a flaw to be seenyour job is to make money
so be strong and think:
blue shirts,
blue dollars,
but don't touch the pinka bottle of adrenaline;
protein shakes and beer,
don't tell her how you feel
don't ever be sheerdon't cry when you're in pain
shower yourself in testosterone,
you're a man not a boy
don't let your tears be showndon't show any love
god knows what they would say;
you'll be the talk of the locker room
you don't want them to think you're gaybe tough and smart
or you'll be easy to destroy
after all
you're just a boy._______________________________
I have another poem called "just a girl" if you enjoyed this one!
I think I want to turn this into a collection, like just a girl, just a kid, just a teen I don't know??
🍋Also sorry if I don't post as often, it's because of school and tests and all that jazz but I'm going to try to post a minimum of once a day which hopefully is fine with you guys💛
