It's been months since Wally came back from the dead and at first Dick couldn't be happier...until Wally started chasing Artemis around like a lost puppy. Yeah, Artemis and Wally had dated but literally only for about a week before Artemis confessed she was in love with Zatana and the two broke up. Now, Dick couldn't stand all the secret talks the two had and all the time they spent together. Whenever he came in they would suddenly stop and send each other suspicious looks.
The Bludhaven hero was sick and tired of it. Unfortunately, at 22 years old he was still just the same nice kid that couldn't be mad at anyone. Of course, at 22 years old he also had access to alcohol. Drinking and hating himself ensued and after three bottles of vodka his hate turned to Wally and Artemis and then turned to sadness and self pitty. It probably wasn't smart to have his cell phone with him when he started drinking and it probably wasn't his fault when he picked it up, totally drunk out of his mind, and called Wally.
