When she first saw him, his red eyes was the first thing that captivated her. Most people would fear those very same eyes but she stared right at them. It reminded her of someone she knew long ago but as that memory came, it also went away in mere seconds.
Itachi, on the other hand, knew exactly whose eyes he was looking at. Sakura Haruno, the kunoichi that was on his brother's team before he defected out of the village. The same girl that had fought side by side with her comrade, Naruto.
He was suspicious at first when Kisame had introduced her to him. He had thought Konoha had transformed her into a child so she could infiltrate the Akatsuki. Over time he realized that she didn't remember anything from her past and was just an innocent child.
He was still silent.
He was still emotionless.
But when he was alone with her. He let his façade down and he let his eyes rest.
"Ita-kun?"
"Hn."
"Why do you look so sick sometimes?"
He didn't say anything but continued to look into her green orbs.
Yes, an innocent kid she was.
