John's POV

*BOOM*

Yang: holy shit!

I stared down Ruby who was trying to overpower my fist with hers, both of us adding more and more strength causing shockwaves every time we clash

John: she's progressing faster than expected' come on that all you got

Ruby: not even close

She jumped back and ripped out a small bit of the arena floor that we were using and threw it at me before charging at me once again. I swatted the rock to the side in time to see Ruby drop kick me making me stumble

Ruby's POV

As John stumbled backward I saw a flash of blue signifying a glory kill as John called them, except mine didn't kill anyone except Grimm, rushing forward I leaped onto Johns shoulders and spun around sending him to the floor [A/n: that thing Blackwidow does] before rolling away do he can't counter, John growled ad he flipped backwards and charged me again. When he neared me he thrust out his fist hitting me in the chest sending me back a few feet. we both rushed each other attacking and counter attacking, I swung my leg at Johns face and he countered by blocking it with his right arm, and palm striking me.

*clap*, *clap*, *clap*

Me and John both stopped and looked at the source of the clapping

John's POV

Ruby: UNCLE QROW!!!!

I blinked as Ruby blew past me and held onto Qrows arm

Qrow: hey kid how ya doing

Ruby: did you miss me

Qrow:.....nope

He said poping the p, before he looked at me

Qrow: so are you gonna introduce me to your friend or not

Ruby: oh right, uncle Qrow this is John, John uncle Qrow

I look at her, then Qrow, then back to her, then back to Qrow

John: uncle....... Right

Qrow: got something you wanna say

John: not in front of Ruby

Qrow: alright

He reaches behind him and pulls out a silver flask and starts drinking it

John: is that alcohol?

Qrow: yeah, why?

John: just wanted to know how you delt with Ruby's energy

Qrow: haha, I like you kid but what's this about you training my niece

I felt a small bit of killing intent coming from the man before I sighed

John: she asked me to train her in hand to hand, and I gave her night sentinel training

Qrow: what's a night sentinel

John: ask Ozpin if you want the full details, welp Ruby this training session is getting cut short since you might want to hang out with your uncle, well drunkle

I told her stretching, and hearing some pops, and cracks

Ruby: right!, come on uncle Qrow you got to see our dorm, oh yeah the bunk beds only look unstable

Qrow: bunk beds, nice kid

I smiled as they walked away, and I left the room after

John: VEGA call Winter schnee and have her come to team RWBY's dorm
