No Reason

Chapter 8

Karma pov
I burst through the hospital doors and ran through the halls trying to get to Nagisa's room as soon as possible.

A nurse was calmly walking up ahead with her clipboard and I jumped over her.
"Hey! No running in the halls!" She yelled as I still continued running not bothering to pay attention to her.
Right now my mind was only focused on Nagisa.

I got to his room and slid open the door....
What I saw broke my heart...

Nagisa was trying to lift himself off the bed using the IV bag/stick for support
"Nagi-sa..."
He still had not noticed me. He was too focused on getting himself off the bed.

Seeing him in a state like this because of me...
I felt like crying...
I caused this...
I caused his pain...

Nagisa managed to stand up straight for about 0.1 seconds until he fell forward
"Nagisa!"
I ran over to him and caught him before he hit the ground

He looked up with wide eyes
"Are you ok?!"
He kept starring at me until he pushed me away from him.
"What are you doing here?"
"To see you"
"I thought I told you I didn't want to see you again"
"Nagisa.."
"Go"
At this point I got annoyed and grabbed Nagisa by his shoulders making him face me
"Stop it! Stop acting like you don't need anyone! Cause you do! Stop being so selfish and let me help you dammit!"
"...How did...How did you know"
"Nagisa, why would you hide this from me"
"I-I'm sorry.."
Tears started forming around his eyes.
I smiled and brought him closer to me and hugged him.
"Don't worry, we'll get through this together"
He kept crying in my arms until he past out.

I carried him back to his bed and sat down holding onto his hand

~few hours later~
I stayed by his side looking at his peaceful sleeping face
"I'm sorry" I whispered
"No"
I looked down to see Nagisa looking up at the ceiling
"Nagisa?"
He placed his hand on my cheek
"It's not your fault"
"Nagisa..."
For some reason I couldn't look away, his eyes were so beautiful
"It was all Shiro. He wanted this to happen"
"But, you can't walk...because of me.."
"Who says I can't walk"
I looked up
" I'm not giving up"
He placed his forehead on mine
"Will you help me?"
"....yeah" I closed my eyes and smiled
"Hey Karma"
"Yes?"
"Is it to late to accept your proposal?
"Proposal?"
We separated and I starred at him in confusion
"I love you Karma"
"..."
"Karma?"
"Nagisa!"
I hugged him
"I love you too!"
I leaned forward and kissed him
