It was night and I lay in my old bed wide awake. I couldn't sleep knowing thar Negan was here for god knows what. I stare into the darkness until I hear something hit the window, it was a constant tapping. I try to get up but it was sorta hard because of the extra weight from the baby. As I push myself up I look and see nothing so I walk away and something hits the window again. I look down and see Carl.

"Let me in" he whispers as I open the window.

"What?"

"Let me in!" I take off the screen and take the extra sheets out of my closet. I tie it to the leg of my bed and throw it down. I sit down on the edge of the bed waiting for him, he grunts while coming up which makes me giggle. "Shut up" I smirk and he soon enters, he pulls up the sheets and puts them in a pile before coming to me.

"Hi" I say looking up to him, he smiles and presses his lips against mine and I pull him down wanting more but he pushes back.

"We can't" he says, and I nod. He stands up and walks to the other side, he takes off his boots and lays down beside me, I scoot my small body towards him and he wraps his arms around me until he starts to feel the same force as I do which makes me laugh.

"I don't think he likes you holding me" I say and he chuckles.

"What do you think we should name him?"

"I want his name to be meaningful."

"We've lost alot of people. We could name him after someone.Tyresse, Noah, Hershel, Sam, Alec, Spencer, Abraham, Glenn" he lists our dead loved ones and I get a shiver down my spine.

"I love thoes names but what if we combine our dad's names" there's a silence, he grabs a stand of my hair and begins twisting it.

"Darick?" He asks and I smile. "Pronounced as Derek but spelled differently"

"Darick" I say and I felt a kick making me laugh. "I think he likes it" Carl puts a hand on the hill and smiles as he feels his son's constant kicks.

"I swear I'll be the greatest father. I'm going to do anything to protect the two of you" he says and I can't help but smile.
