A Mermaids wish

Chapter 1

Touko POV
*cough**cough*
Touko coughed until she was finally rid of the water in her lungs. Her whole Vision was blurred. As her vision cleared she saw a girl. „Wh-what? Do you think you never s-saw a girl as ugly?", Touko shouted at the girl. „What? No! I didn't think that at all!",Komaru quickly defended," I kinda just saved you from drowning, I guess?" „S-so you just saved me? Th-thank you.", Touko said unsure about thanking someone. I never thanked someone in my life before! Touko thought. „My name is Komaru Naegi! Nice to meet you!", komaru said smiling happily. „Naegi? Well, uhm I don't think you're gonna remember it anyway but my name is Touko Fukawa.",Touko said. „You know my brother?", Komaru asked quickly. „Yeah" Komaru only blinked at the rather quiet response. „Hey uhm why didn't you swim back there?", Komaru asked tilting her head. „I never learned to how t-to swim." „oh.", komru blinked.
After a few minutes Touko realized that she needed to go to class."Shit!", Touko shout out and jumped up. Leaving Komaru confused. „S-sorry but I have to r-run I'm already late for school!",Touko quickly said looking around for her bag."Huh? Where's my bag?!",Touko clearly daw only one possibility: the bag drowned. „Sorry.", Komaru said lowering her head. „Why are you apologizing?!", Touko shouted. Then turned around and quickly shouting before leaving:"Goodbye!" Komaru just stood there waving.

At the school Ishimaru lectured Touko about how bad it is coming late. Only after he finished his lecture Touko could defend herself: „I-I didn't wanted to come late! I s-slipped and fell into the lake!" A few students looked at Touko. „The Lake? Oh my! Are you alright?", Celestia asked looking worried, wich probably only was a Maskerade. The black-haired girl was known for her lies and poker faces. „Y-Yeah! A girl saved me.", Touko said biting her tumb. Luckily the teacher shut everyone up before they could say anything and started the next lesson.

After school Touko went on the same way she walked on the morning. And there was... Komaru, sitting on a large rock beside the path of the edge of the lake. „H-hey! Uhm.. Omaru how are you?", Touko asked standing in front of Komaru. „Ah! Touko! Hi!", Komaru was surprised that Touko actually went that way again. „uhm why are you back?", Komaru asked hesitating. „W-What isn't an u-ugly girl like me allowed to go through here?",Touko snapped at her. „No! That wasn't what I meant! I was just wondering why you walk by here, because in the morning you almost drowned.", Komaru waited for a response but only received a short shrug from Touko. Komaru looked away causing Touko to  speak up: „W-what?" „Isn't it weird going back to the place where you almost died?", Komaru asked looking back at Touko. Her face was clearly worried. „Hm? W-why would it be strange? It's not l-like I'm running trough here again.", Touko took a quick look at her phone to check the time and gasped. „I missed the train!", she shouted. Oh well, can't be helped. Touko looked up at Komaru, who looked at her. „W-what?!", Touko shouted. „Ah! I was just wondering what a train is and why you missed it.", Komaru said. „You don't know what a train is?", touko looked at Komaru almost bursting out in laughter. „Yeah. I don't know" „well, I use it to t-travel home and it's driven by a stranger that drives a big car and in that car is filled with a lot of strangers. So basically a large taxi on rails", Touko tried to describe, failing a little. „Okay?" „Whatever! Sorry omaru but I have to go. My mothers are gonna be soooo mad!", Touko waved goodbye left.

Komaru POV
After Touko left Komaru glided back into the lake. Her fishtail appearing. She swam down and went through a tunnel that leads to the ocean. Luckily she and her brother were the only ones that knew it. She were back at home. She loved her home but she really wanted to live on the surface. The wind, the sun and the strange taxis. She wanted to know new things. But she was too scared to ask her mother. Komarus mother was nice but she would never allow her to go to the surface and live there. Suddenly Komaru realized that she was right geht in front of her house. „Komaru? Why are you so late?", a voice came from behind her as she wanted to go inside. „Mom? Oh sorry I kinda-„, Komaru was cut off by her mother. „You were at the surface weren't you?", komarus mother said. „Well, yes! A girl almost drowned I had to help her!", Komaru noticed that her mother was almost crying. „I'm sorry. Hey uhm mom? Can I maybe go to live on the surface? It's really funny there.", Komaru asked hesitant. „What?!", the voice belonged to the king. What is the king doing here?! Komaru gulped. „You want to abandon your kingdom only because there's fun somewhere else?", the king looked annoyed. „Then so be it. Why don't you try living in the surface for a week? If you change your mind within that week, then you can return but if you stay longer than a week you shall never return!", the king said calmly. Wait what? Komaru didn't understand what just happened. „Thank you.", Komaru said returning to the lake.

At the lake Komaru noticed the moon. And i don't have a house! Komaru Lied down at the rock closing her eyes.
