"The prophecy said it wouldn't be for years!" The man's voice yelled as the blonde beauty carefully placed a small infant down into the woven baby carriage. "Aurora!" He yelled "Are you even listening to me."

"Yes Philip." Aurora snapped turning over to face her husband as she put the dark, emerald coloured coak's hood atop of her head "I have ears, therefore I hear every word you are saying. The prophecy speaks of an evil uprising. All of them; the wolf, Maleficent, Theodora... they are all going to be bound together and who will they target? Do you not recall the most evil enchantress our world has ever known? Maleficent and who Philip does she hate most in this world? Me she is not foolish. She will not go after me, but instead the child I love most. I cannot let that happen, I will not lose her."

"It's in 18 years--" Philip tried to say before Aurora turned her back to him.

"Who's to say she will not steal the baby and kill it before? Who's to say she will not have one of her minions do it? The child is our only hope."

A long and tired sigh escaped Philip's lips as the realization that he had lost began to take over his insides. Everyone lost to Aurora after all, she had a way with words and when it came to children her inner mother bear took over before she could stop it. There was no reason eligible enough to fight with her any longer... he had lost.

"Let me say goodbye to my daughter." He said softly "And then you may take her where you must."

Aurora nodded her head taking a step away from her husband and the infant allowing him to say his goodbyes that would surely have to last an eternity. The child was in the prophecy... there was no changing it now.

"Goodbye my sweet baby." Philip said softly as he left a soft kiss on the babies forehead "Remember your path.... remember who you are." He finally stood up tearing his eyes away so neither his wife nor child could see the tears that began to fill his eyes. "Take her away and Aurora--" He said finally looking back to his wife.

At that moment she looked back at him the basket that their child was held in now in her grip as he took a long and deep breath. "Be careful."

Aurora smiled before she nodded her head "Always." With that she spun on her heel and headed out of the throne room and away from Prince Philip walking as quick as she could before she left the walls of the castle and out into the cold night air.

Her horse was already waiting for her patiently and as she hoisted herself up she set the baby in the basket in front of her before hitting the horse lightly to take off. As the horse galloped through the darkness Aurora's eyes stayed glued to the baby who giggled as she looked up at the brilliant night stars.

This won't be goodbye Aurora said to herself as reassurance You will see her again.

But the more times Aurora said it and looked down at her baby the continence of dread and grief continued to wash over her as the question remained Will she see her again? What if the witch does the spell wrong? Then what will she do?
