Epilogue

Although the rest of the Land of Tales had been returned to it's usual happy state of mind the Hidden Kingdom remained as it always had. The sky's were still grey, the ground was still barren, the lakes and rivers were still dry. Although the kingdom appeared empty and left behind, nothing else seemed to have changed about it. 

Over the course of the next week, guards from every kingdom swept through the kingdom searching for any remainder of any villain who could have been left behind. But they came up short. 

However they had made one mistake in their search, for they had all seemed to overlook that one cave where the heroes had hid out in long ago. And inside that cave someone hid, someone the entire world had thought to be dead years ago. 

And one day, after the guards had declared the Hidden Kingdom empty did the hidden body finally decide to come out of the cave. 

And as the fresh air burst against the Evil Queen's grey skin did she finally let out a sigh of content. "I'm back." She whispered, her green eyes scouring the scene before her of the barren kingdom. 

She began to make her way down the rocky cliff careful not to trip on her long robes. For years she had been in hiding, for years the world had thought she to be dead, but she was alive. Very much alive. 

The Evil Queen traveled across the rocky ground for the next few hours before she finally made it to Maleficent's staggering and now empty castle. Passing the spot where Peter Pan had died, where now there was a grave written with his name inside it. But the Queen ignored it, not bothering to pay her respects to the boy who lived. Because she had her eyes on a much bigger prize. 

And as she travelled up the stairs to the highest tower, her pace still slow and dangerous inside her stomach the Queen felt a feeling relish inside of her. Not happiness, not madness, and definitely not sadness.... but the feeling of redemption. Redemption to those who had ruined her happiness for their own. And when she finally reached that top tower, when she finally stood in front of her magnificently smashed mirror she let out a sigh as she waved her hand, watching as the pieces magically formed back together, When they did the Evil Queen's wide lips twisted upward into a menacing smile. 

"Mirror, mirror on the wall... 
It's time to destroy the selfish royals of them all..."  

She watched as the fog began to form that same, beautiful face it had and heard the raspy voice ask. "How now my lady, must we do that?" 

The Evil Queen let out a sigh of content as her big doe eyes settled on the mirror. "Tell me mirror, as you are immortal. Tell me the recipe... to make a time portal." 

A/N 

And now without further ado.... it's time for my SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!! 

It has only been two months since Avalon discovered the World of Tales. Where legendary fairy tale characters are real, living in a perfect world. 2 months since she discovered her prophecy, 5 weeks since she defeated Maleficent. She thought her life in this magical world would be perfect and calm. That she would live happily ever after... but not for long. When the Evil Queen casts a time portal to save her lost love from a terrible, Avalon and Captain Hook get trapped in it taking them back in time to the Fairy Tale's of the past. Now they must try and find a way back, without fracturing any of the characters past. But when the Evil Queen messes up each and ever happily ever after for the current monarche's of all the kingdom Avalon and Hook have to fix it, before Avalon's very existence disappears.

I am SO EXCITED for you all to read this and the winner of who guessed correctly will get her dedication, shout out, and spotlight on the first chapter of the next book which will be called (Cue the drum roll)

HAPPILY NEVER AFTER! 

If this book carries on well, I've been debating about doing more and more books in the Land of Tales but some will be set in Oz, Wonderland, Neverland etc.

A/N 

So writing Once Upon a Time has been an incredible experiance for me. I'm like the biggest Disney and fairytale junky ever and getting to share my love of these classic characters and getting to put my own twist on things has been the greatest gift ever. I loved reading all your comments and opinions especially the ones about how much people hated Flynn (Oh how the tables have turned haha) Anyways I also wanted to thank you guys for my summer hiatus and being patient with me while I was dealing with some personal things outside of Wattpad. I know it was a long wait but I really think that it made coming back to writing even more special for me and made me love each and every one of you even more. So I guess that's it for now... the beginning of Happily Never After will be getting posted mid January (However if I get loads of comments and votes on this last little chapter thing I'd be happy to start posting New Years day ;) ) 

Also post some of YOUR fav disney/fairytale characters who you want to see in Happily Never After whether it's Esmerelda, more of Tinkerbell, hell even Scar from Lion King!
